Short Summary:
Wayve is seeking a Sensing Systems Engineer to oversee the sensing subsystem across vehicle platforms, ensuring sensor integration meets performance standards for automated driving systems.
Responsibilities:
- Own sensing system performance
- Define performance standards for the sensing stack
- Develop and maintain clear sensing system requirements
- Support Hardware and Vehicle Software teams for sensor integration
- Design and implement frameworks to evaluate sensing system performance
- Act as the central point of coordination for sensing across teams
- Evaluate how sensing quality affects model performance
Requirement:
- 5+ years of experience in autonomous systems, robotics, or automotive
- Strong systems engineering capability
- Hands-on experience with primary sensor modalities (camera, LiDAR, radar)
- Working knowledge of multi-sensor systems
- Experience evaluating sensor performance in real-world conditions
- Experience working closely with multiple stakeholders
