You will:

• Help build and evolve mission-critical labeling tools and systems powering mapping at Waymo.
• Collaborate with Mapping Operations, UX, and other engineering teams to deliver excellent tools for internal use.
• Work with ML teams to integrate machine learning models into our workflow to drastically improve scalability.
• Build backend infrastructure for storing and processing many forms of map data
• Leverage Google's ecosystem to build, deploy, and scale backend services that process vast amounts of mapping data.
• Scale systems to map the world's cities, enabling Waymo's rapid expansion into new and complex urban environments.

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of relevant industry experience
• Experience with C++ and large-scale data processing.
• Willingness to own problems end-to-end, from diving into a new and complex domain to working on various parts of the system
• A passion for good software engineering
