You’ll be focused in
• Partnering with designers to explore, prototype, and specify new components and patterns, from early idea to defined API.
• Developing, maintaining, and evolving accessible, high-quality web components.
• Contributing to our design tokens and their delivery to web, iOS, and Android through our existing pipeline.
• Helping identify gaps in the design system by working with product teams, gathering feedback and turn findings into proposals.
• Supporting native development by keeping tokens, specifications, and component behaviour aligned across platforms.
• Supporting design system adoption through documentation, support, and training.
• Following and helping evolve frontend best practices, coding standards, and governance processes.
• Ensuring components meet accessibility standards and usability best practices.
• Contributing to testing strategies and release processes.
In order to succeed, you’ll need
• 5+ years of professional experience in Frontend Development, Design Engineering, or a similar hybrid role.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining Design Systems used across multiple products and teams.
• Experience working with design tokens, ideally across multiple platforms.
• Strong working proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, and variables.
• Demonstrated ability to take a loosely defined need and turn it into a component proposal: visual exploration, API design, and specification.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript or modern JavaScript.
• Strong expertise in SCSS/SASS, CSS architecture, and modern styling methodologies.
• Experience developing Web Components (Stencil JS is a plus).
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development, AI Agents, AI Skills, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, including design-to-code workflows.
Nice to have
• Experience building and publishing reusable NPM packages and shared UI libraries.
• Experience using Storybook for component development, documentation, and testing.
• Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and automated processes.
• Experience with design token tooling such as Style Dictionary.
• Working knowledge of SwiftUI or Jetpack Compose, especially how tokens and theming are consumed natively.
• Background or formal training in UI/UX or visual design.
• Strong knowledge of Accessibility (WCAG) and experience performing accessibility reviews and implementations.
• Experience with design system adoption, "office hours", or contribution models.
• Experience with Node.js and frontend tooling ecosystems.
• Experience with Nx Monorepos and large-scale codebase management.
• Experience implementing Unit Testing, Integration Testing and E2E Testing (preferably using Vitest and Playwright).
• Experience with visual regression testing and quality assurance processes.
• Knowledge of semantic versioning, release automation, and design system governance models.
