Director of Growth Marketing

About Vitally

Vitally is a Customer Success Platform built for modern post-sales teams. We help companies better understand their customers, streamline how teams work, and build stronger customer relationships.

But the world of customer-facing work is changing fast. AI is fundamentally reshaping how companies operate, how teams deliver value, and what's possible when people and technology work together. We're embracing that change. We're rethinking long-held assumptions, exploring new possibilities, and investing in a bold vision for the future.

We're a small, ambitious team that moves quickly, values creative thinking, and believes great ideas can come from anywhere. We're looking for curious, resourceful builders who want to challenge the status quo, experiment with what's next, and help us tell stories that make people think differently.

About the role

Vitally is looking for a Director of Growth Marketing to build the growth engine for our next chapter. We have an established acquisition motion, a new product coming to market, and a much bigger opportunity ahead of us. The challenge now is to move from primarily capturing existing demand to creating, converting, and scaling demand across the entire buyer journey.

You’ll own the strategy for where Vitally’s next increment of qualified pipeline comes from and the system required to produce it.

This is a senior, hands-on role. We’re looking for someone with strong business and revenue instincts who can diagnose what is happening in the funnel, understand the customers we need to reach, determine what to test next, and build the programs required to move the business forward.

You do not need to be the deepest practitioner in every channel. You do need to understand how the pieces fit together, what good looks like, and how to direct internal and external specialists toward the right business outcomes.

What you’ll do

Own growth strategy and audience development

• Define where Vitally’s next increment of qualified pipeline should come from.

• Build an integrated growth strategy aligned to revenue goals, ICP, product strategy, and market priorities.

• Develop a deep understanding of Vitally’s buyers, segments, and buying behavior.

• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and RevOps to identify the audiences and accounts with the strongest commercial potential.

• Balance near-term pipeline needs with longer-term demand creation and continuously assess where Vitally should invest next.

Build integrated demand programs

• Develop campaigns that connect product launches, editorial content, thought leadership, research, events, paid media, web, and Sales activation.

• Create compelling programs and offers for buyers at different stages of awareness and intent.

• Build repeatable campaign motions rather than isolated launches or one-off programs.

• Ensure major Marketing investments have a clear path to qualified pipeline and revenue.

Own the buyer journey and conversion engine

• Build lifecycle and nurture strategies that move buyers from initial engagement through active evaluation.

• Design journeys around buyer behavior, intent, segment, and stage.

• Treat the website as a core part of the revenue engine, owning conversion strategy, testing, and optimization.

• Identify friction and drop-off across the funnel and build programs to improve.

• Create a coordinated buyer experience across email, web, content, paid, events, and Sales engagement.

Set paid strategy and direct execution

• Define the role paid acquisition should play within Vitally’s broader growth strategy.

• Own investment decisions across branded, non-branded, paid social, retargeting, and emerging opportunities.

• Evaluate paid performance against pipeline quality and revenue—not simply lead volume or platform metrics.

• Use paid to test audiences, offers, messages, and new demand-creation motions.

• Direct agencies and specialist partners against clear business outcomes.

Own growth analytics and performance

• Partner with RevOps to build a clear view of Marketing performance across the funnel.

• Evaluate channel efficiency alongside customer quality, conversion, pipeline, and downstream revenue.

• Translate performance data into decisions about where to invest, test, change, or pull back.

• Establish an experimentation cadence.

• Communicate the health of the growth engine clearly to senior leadership.

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience across growth, demand generation, performance, or revenue marketing.

• Experience owning Growth or Demand Generation strategy at a senior level.

• A track record of building qualified pipeline across multiple acquisition channels.

• Strong understanding of paid acquisition, with experience well beyond paid media alone.

• Experience with integrated campaigns, lifecycle and nurture, web conversion, segmentation, and experimentation.

• Strong business and revenue acumen and the ability to connect Marketing performance to company outcomes.

• Experience partnering deeply with Sales and RevOps.

• Ability to interpret funnel and performance data and turn it into strategic action.

• Experience managing agencies, freelancers, or specialist partners.

• Strong strategic judgment paired with a willingness to be hands-on.

• High curiosity, an experimentation mindset, and comfort challenging assumptions about what has historically worked.

• Ability to move quickly and operate in ambiguity without sacrificing analytical rigor.

Especially valuable

• Experience helping a B2B SaaS company move upmarket.

• Experience diversifying a growth engine historically dependent on paid acquisition or inbound demand.

• Experience launching a new product or materially changing a company’s GTM motion.

• Experience marketing AI or AI-native products.

• Experience selling to Customer Success, Revenue, or other B2B SaaS leaders.

• Experience in environments where senior leaders combine strategy with execution.

What success looks like in your first year

• Vitally has a clear growth strategy tied directly to company revenue priorities.

• Marketing has greater control over the audiences and segments entering the funnel.

• New demand-creation programs are producing qualified opportunities.

• Campaigns connect content, launches, web, lifecycle, paid, and Sales activation.

• Website and lifecycle programs are improving buyer progression and conversion.

• Growth Marketing independently diagnoses and leads the revenue-generation system.

Why Vitally

AI is changing how customer-facing teams work, what companies can learn from their customers, and what technology can do on their behalf. At the same time, buyers are reconsidering the tools they use and the problems they are willing to solve with software.

Vitally is building toward a different future, and bringing a materially different product and point of view to market.

That creates an unusually interesting growth problem. We are not looking for someone to simply optimize an existing funnel. We’re looking for someone to help determine who our next customers should be, how we reach them, how we create demand with them, and how we build a growth engine capable of supporting the company Vitally is becoming.

You’ll help build that engine.
