Senior Creative Director, Concept & Copy – Campaigns (m/f/x)

We already have people who know how to make things look good. We’re looking for the person who knows what needs to be said.Your background is in concept development and copywriting. You’ve led campaigns from concept through to launch, and can explain what made each one work in two sentences. At Virtual Identity, you’ll lead the Digital Creative team and turn briefs into compelling ideas that clients can immediately picture—and want to bring to life.

What you will do:

• Develop the campaign’s central idea—from the brief and strategy through to the tagline, headlines and storyline—before design begins

• Write copy yourself, including headlines, scripts and pitch narratives

• Lead and develop the Digital Creative team. Set the creative direction, give feedback that strengthens the ideas as well as the execution, and help people grow

• Keep the core idea clear and consistent from pitch through to launch

• Present concepts to existing and prospective clients in German, and make a clear case for your ideas

• Work closely with Brand Strategy and use AI where it can help generate variations and speed up production. The creative idea remains yours

What we expect:

• Several years experience as a copywriter or conceptual creative at a creative or advertising agency, most recently in a senior role (ACD, CD or equivalent)

• Campaigns built around a big idea of your own that ran across more than one channel

• Experience guiding or leading people - a small creative team is enough

• The ability to give feedback that improves the work, and to take feedback yourself

• German at copywriter level (C2): publication-ready, confident in style and true to the brand. Good English

• Nice to have, but not essential: awards or shortlist placements (CCA Venus, Effie, ADC, Cannes) and experience with social-first formats

• Based in Germany or Austria is a must, based in or near Vienna is a plus
