Short Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Rust developer to conduct technical interviews for software engineering candidates. You will evaluate candidates’ practical knowledge of the Rust language, systems programming concepts, and real-world problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct live technical interviews (video) focused on Rust
- Assess candidates on core Rust language features, memory safety, concurrency, and performance considerations
- Evaluate knowledge of common crates and ecosystem
- Design or adapt technical questions and coding exercises
- Provide written feedback and scoring shortly after each interview
- Maintain a professional, fair, and candidate-friendly interview experience
- Occasionally help refine the interview process or question bank
Requirement:
- Strong, hands-on experience with Rust (preferably 3+ years of professional use)
- Solid understanding of systems programming concepts and the Rust ecosystem
- Previous experience conducting technical interviews or mentoring is a strong plus
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to evaluate candidates objectively and give constructive feedback
- Reliable availability for scheduled interviews (flexible hours preferred)
- Comfortable working independently in a remote freelance setting
