Director, Marketing

The Opportunity:
GolfNow is looking for a Director, GolfNow Marketing to help shape the next phase of growth for one of golf’s leading digital marketplaces. This is a high-impact leadership role for a strategic marketer who knows how to turn consumer insight into demand, connect brand building with performance, and create marketing strategies that drive measurable growth.
You will lead GolfNow’s integrated consumer marketing strategy across the golfer lifecycle, with a focus on acquiring more new bookers, increasing repeat booking, reactivating lapsed golfers, and strengthening long-term customer engagement. You’ll connect golfer needs and marketplace priorities to coordinated programs that move customers from awareness to first booking—and from first booking to deeper, more valuable relationships with GolfNow.
This role sits at the center of Brand, CRM, Performance Marketing, Product, Marketplace, Analytics, Creative, Revenue, promotions, and activations. You’ll bring those capabilities together around a shared growth agenda, helping teams prioritize the highest-impact opportunities, move faster from strategy to market, and make smarter investment decisions based on measurable results.
Why This Role Matters: GolfNow has an opportunity to create a more connected growth engine—one that brings brand, acquisition, lifecycle, retention, and marketplace demand together under a clear consumer strategy. This leader will play a critical role in building that engine, creating stronger golfer engagement while generating incremental demand and sustainable business growth.
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from our Orlando office a minimum of three days per week.
What You’ll Do:

• Own and evolve GolfNow’s integrated consumer marketing strategy, connecting brand, acquisition, repeat booking, retention, and reactivation to ambitious growth objectives.
• Develop strategies and programs that increase new booker acquisition and move more golfers from their first booking to their second, third, and beyond.
• Turn golfer insights, marketplace dynamics, and business priorities into high-impact marketing programs across brand, CRM, performance media, promotions, activations, content, and other consumer channels.
• Build a stronger marketing operating model that improves speed, clarifies ownership and decision rights, and enables teams to move from strategy to execution more effectively.
• Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team, setting clear goals, raising the strategic bar, and creating an environment where people can do their best work.
• Create strong, integrative partnerships across Product, Marketplace, Analytics, Creative, Revenue, CRM, Performance Marketing, and Brand to unlock new growth opportunities and improve business performance.

What You Bring:

• Significant experience leading consumer, brand, or integrated marketing within a direct-to-consumer, marketplace, digital, subscription, ecommerce, or similarly growth-oriented business.
• A track record of developing marketing strategies that build brands while also driving measurable acquisition, engagement, retention, or revenue growth.
• Deep understanding of consumer segmentation, positioning, messaging, integrated campaigns, and customer lifecycle strategy.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional marketing initiatives across multiple channels and functions.
• Strong commercial instincts and the ability to connect consumer behavior, marketing investment, and performance data to business growth.
• Experience leading, developing, and inspiring high-performing teams.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders, build alignment, and lead through complexity.
• An analytical mindset and comfort using data, testing, and measurement to make strategic decisions.
• Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills.

You’ll also bring Versant’s How We Do It behaviors to how you lead and collaborate:

• Trust: Build credibility through sound judgment, integrity, and consistent follow-through.
• Teamwork: Bring teams together around shared consumer and business goals, building strong partnerships across functions.
• Transparency: Create clarity around priorities, performance, decisions, and tradeoffs.
• Agility: Adapt quickly as golfer behavior, market conditions, and performance insights evolve.
• Entrepreneurial Spirit: Spot growth opportunities, challenge assumptions, and turn ideas into action.
• Accountability: Take ownership for outcomes, follow through on commitments, and create clear expectations for performance.

Bonus points for: Experience in digital marketplaces, ecommerce, travel, sports, entertainment, or consumer technology; partnership with CRM, performance media, Product, and Revenue teams; promotional strategy and customer activation; lifecycle and retention marketing; and a passion for understanding consumer behavior and translating insight into action.
Why You’ll Love It Here
This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on GolfNow’s growth story. You’ll shape how the brand attracts new golfers, builds stronger customer relationships, and creates more demand across the marketplace.
You’ll have the scope to set strategy, influence investment, lead a talented team, and partner across the business to turn ideas into measurable results. Just as importantly, you’ll help build a more connected marketing organization—one that combines brand strength, consumer insight, performance discipline, and speed to drive sustainable growth.
