Growth Product Manager, Access Control
Who We Are
Verkada is transforming how organizations protect their people and places with an integrated, privacy-sensitive AI-powered platform that includes solutions for video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management.
We’ve got serious momentum in the market: more than 30,000 customers (including 100+ of the Fortune 500), a $5.8B valuation, more than $1 billion in annualized bookings, and backing from CapitalG, Sequoia Capital, General Catalyst, Felicis Ventures, Next47 and more. Physical AI is one of the most consequential technology shifts of our time, and Verkada is at the center of it.
You can look at all kinds of communities to see our platform’s impact in the world. It's the retailer that uses our agentic AI to deter theft before it happens. The warehouse that uses AI-powered alerts to make sure its team is protected on the floor with proper PPE. The school that’s alerted to a threat in real-time and triggers a lockdown in seconds, not minutes. We’re rapidly scaling this impact: today, more than 2 million Verkada devices are deployed across 170+ countries.
About the Role
Access Control is one of Verkada's largest and fastest-growing businesses, and we're looking for a high-agency Product Growth Manager to unlock its next phase of growth. You'll drive growth initiatives from idea to impact, identifying opportunities and turning them into measurable revenue.
This is a highly commercial role spanning the entire customer funnel. You’ll devise and execute strategies involving analyzing our customer base to find cross-sell opportunities, building targeted campaigns, creating sales plays, training the field, working directly with reps to activate accounts, and then measuring and improving pipeline and conversion.
Product Growth Management is a marketing function that is embedded within the Product Management team, working extremely closely with Verkada’s Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams. This is a high-impact individual-contributor role with significant autonomy and visibility. (Note that this is not a Growth Product Manager role and does not involve working with software or hardware engineers to drive product changes.)
What You'll Do
Develop the growth strategy for a specific product area
- Identify the highest-leverage opportunities to increase pipeline and bookings across new customers, existing customers, verticals, partners, and product use cases.
- Develop hypotheses about what is constraining growth, validate them with data and field research, and translate them into clear action plans.
- Segment customers and prospects using product, market, and CRM data to identify the audiences, accounts, and sellers most likely to convert.
Build and execute growth programs
- Design and run go-to-market experiments that produce measurable revenue impact, then turn the winners into repeatable programs and continuously improve their efficiency and return.
- Develop full-funnel programs connecting targeting and messaging with demos and proof-oriented offers that reduce adoption friction, such as demo kits, limited trials, and partner-supported installation.
- Create cross-sell and expansion programs for priority customer segments and verticals, such as K-12 schools, higher education, and healthcare.
- Stay hands-on across strategy, analytics, messaging, program design, and field execution rather than handing initiatives off after conception.
Activate sales and partners
- Work directly with sales leaders and reps to identify promising accounts, map opportunities, and execute targeted sales plays.
- Define practical criteria that help sellers recognize a strong opportunity.
- Build field-ready assets: discovery questions, talk tracks, pitch decks, competitive guidance, objection handling, customer stories, and follow-up sequences.
- Deliver engaging in-person and virtual training for sales teams, and capture top performers' strategies and ROI narratives as seller-to-seller content.
- Join customer calls and selected opportunities to drive win rate, understand where deals stall, and translate individual wins into repeatable playbooks.
- Create partner-facing training and content that helps channel and installation partners identify opportunities, communicate customer value, deploy efficiently, and understand the commercial upside.
Measure, learn, and scale
- Define the telemetry, funnel stages, goals, and reporting required for every growth initiative.
- Track lower-funnel outcomes including qualified opportunities, pipeline, trial conversion, win rate, bookings, attach rate, and program ROI.
- Diagnose underperformance, rapidly refine strategy or execution, and scale the programs that work.
What You Bring
- 6–10 years of experience in driving revenue growth through product marketing, go-to-market strategy, or another analytical and commercially oriented role.
- A demonstrated ability to create measurable pipeline, adoption, or revenue, not simply produce launches, campaigns, or content.
- Strong commercial instincts and comfort working directly with sales reps, sales leaders, partners, and customers.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills: you can pull and cut data yourself using SQL, Sheets, and CRM reporting to segment audiences and evaluate program performance.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, presentation, and live-training skills.
- Strong product and marketing taste: you can distinguish an exceptional experience, campaign, message, offer, or sales asset from an average one, and explain why.
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership and the ability to drive work through teams you do not directly manage.
- A builder's mentality and high execution capacity: curious, creative, resourceful, organized, fast-moving, and accountable for business outcomes.
Especially Relevant Backgrounds
We welcome candidates with unconventional paths. Particularly relevant backgrounds may include:
- Go-to-market and revenue-focused roles at high-growth B2B technology companies who have worked deeply with sales teams, customer opportunities, and growth programs, especially those seeking greater ownership of growth strategy, experimentation, and business outcomes.
- Growth or Product Marketing Managers with direct ownership of acquisition, adoption, or revenue.
- Solutions consultants or sales strategists with strong analytical, product, and marketing capabilities.
- Experience in physical security, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, proptech, construction technology, hardware-enabled SaaS, or another technically complex category.
