Друзья ищут разработчика браузера, не человека, который «делал веб на Chromium». Нужен тот, кто уже писал в Chromium или Chromium-based браузер: патчи, rebase, sandbox, WebView. Желательно на Android.
Если есть свои изменения в дереве Chromium — буду рада свести.
🌎 fully remote, откуда угодно (кроме РФ и Беларуси)
💸 оплата в крипте, independent contractor
💼 part-time можно, full-time предпочтительнее
⏱ от 80 часов в месяц, график гибкий, async
❗️Не сработаемся, если:
▪️ английский ниже B1
▪️ последние ~5 лет в гос / около гос компаниях РФ
▪️ опыт только во фронтенде, расширениях или встраивании WebView в приложение, без разработки самого браузера
You own Vanadium, the hardened Chromium used as the default browser and WebView in GrapheneOS. The recurring work is rebasing the patch set onto each Chromium release and shipping security fixes quickly. Around major releases the load goes up.
What you do:
• improve Vanadium and port it to new Android versions
• rebase the patch set onto new Chromium releases and keep it maintainable
• prioritize Chromium security updates so fixes reach users fast
• build privacy and security features: site settings for attack-surface reduction, content filtering
• fix website compatibility issues
• improve build infrastructure and automate repetitive update work
• triage bugs and feature requests, review contributions
• ship finished features and fixes ready for review
Must have:
• experience developing Chromium or a Chromium-based browser, preferably on Android
• GN, depot_tools, and Chromium’s build system
• languages, most used first: Java, C++, Kotlin, Python, Bash
• enough seniority to self-direct and deliver work ready for review
Nice to have: Android WebView internals, AOSP, maintaining a downstream patch set on a fast upstream, Chromium sandbox / site isolation / V8, exploit mitigations, anti-fingerprinting, open source contributions.
