Principal Test Engineer

The Principal Test Engineer leads the creation and deployment of production-ready Automated Test Equipment (ATE) solutions for high-performance automotive processors from concept through high-volume mass production. Develop test plans and test programs for IP within the chip. Hardware Design: Design ATE loadboards for multi-gigahertz range. Characterization & Validation: Execute PVT (Process, Voltage, Temperature) characterization, first silicon bring-up, and IC qualification. Yield & Cost Optimization: Utilize statistical data processing and design of experiments (DOE) to enhance yield and drive down test time and manufacturing costs. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner globally with analog/digital design, product engineering, quality assurance, and offshore assembly/test subcontractors (OSATs). Lifecycle Support: Oversee production release, define test limits, and manage customer support or customer returns. More information about NXP in the United States...
