What will you be doing in this role?
- Plan and coordinate project activities, including implementation strategies, terms of reference, resources, budgets, activity fiches, and Annual Work Plans.
- Coordinate and implement project activities across the EU and partner regions, including confidential studies, reports, and initiatives.
- Manage the full delivery of activities, overseeing logistics, travel, venues, materials, translations, interpretation, and participant engagement.
- Identify, engage, and coordinate experts, service providers, stakeholders, and participants to ensure successful implementation.
- Provide technical and content expertise through training, research, data collection, manuals, publications, legislative texts, and quality assurance of deliverables.
- Prepare technical specifications, strategic inputs, and other project-related documentation.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, partners, and service providers to foster cooperation and communication.
- Procure and manage external services, including quotations, negotiations, contracts, orders, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with planning, administrative, and financial procedures by providing guidance and information to relevant staff.
- Design, administer, and analyze participant satisfaction surveys and other monitoring tools.
- Draft agendas, practical information notes, meeting minutes, progress reports, activity reports, and reports for the Client.
- Develop content for websites, social media, communication materials, visibility campaigns, and awareness-related activities.
- Implement information-sharing and project monitoring systems, including Microsoft 365 tools and logframe indicators.
- Manage office resources, equipment, supplies, consumables, and petty cash where required.
- Support project missions, visits, and events in different countries and contribute to project closure and final reporting.
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- University degree (minimum 4 years) in Law, Political Science, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Intellectual Property (IP) policy and legal practice.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in IP-related work in the Western Balkans region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, or Serbia).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Copyright and Related Rights
- Patents, Trademarks, Industrial Designs, and Geographical Indications
- Trade Secrets and Topographies of Semiconductor Products
- IP Enforcement and Anti-Counterfeiting
- IP Legislation and Policy Alignment
- Modernization of Intellectual Property Offices
- IP Awareness, Commercialization, and SME Support
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the implementation of international cooperation projects.
- English proficiency at C1 level or higher, plus proficiency in a regional language (Serbian, Bosnian, Montenegrin, Albanian, or Macedonian) at A2 level or higher.
