JOB DESCRIPTION

Ubisoft’s Legal Department is organized around dedicated legal counsels for each business area, working hand in hand with every team across the company. As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be the dedicated day-to-day legal partner for Creative House 4 (CH4), while remaining fully embedded in the centralized HQ Legal Department.

Creative House 4 builds epic and imaginative myths where players confront timeless truths and discover something about themselves along the way. Bringing together some of Ubisoft’s most iconic and diverse franchises - Anno, Beyond Good & Evil, Might & Magic, Prince of Persia, Rayman and Trackmania amongst other - CH4 crafts meaningful, immersive universes and character-driven journeys guided by emotion and wonder.

In this role, you will enable CH4 teams to move fast with clear, business-oriented legal guidance, identify legal and brand risks early, and act as the primary two-way liaison between CH4 and HQ Legal - combining business proximity with central governance discipline.

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary legal point of contact for Creative House 4, owning and prioritizing CH4’s legal intake end-to-end or through specialists
• Provide day-to-day advice across IP use, protection and enforcement coordination; marketing, promotional and community campaigns; talent/influencer deals and endorsements; licensing and brand partnerships; music, image rights and content clearances; and advertising
• Attend CH4 leadership and operating meetings, ensuring early legal involvement in key initiatives across the Anno, Beyond Good & Evil, Might & Magic, Prince of Persia, Rayman and Trackmania franchises
• Develop deep expertise in CH4’s franchises, brand positioning and commercial roadmap; anticipate legal needs across the full lifecycle, from announcement and development through launch and live operations
• Identify recurring issues and propose structural fixes - templates, playbooks, training, process updates - and support global consistency across regions and partners, in line with HQ policies
• Keep your Legal colleagues informed of upcoming campaigns, product beats, new business models and emerging risks; escalate complex, sensitive, cross-functional or precedent-setting matters
• Trigger and coordinate specialist support (privacy, regulatory, competition, employment, etc.) as needed
• Translate HQ policies and risk into practical guidance for CH4 teams; cascade regulatory and legal developments; drive adoption of best practices, templates and process improvements

QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant experience

• At least 5 years of legal experience, with strong grounding in IP, media/marketing and commercial contracting
• Industry experience and personal interest in entertainment, gaming, tech or digital content strongly preferred
• Comfortable communicating with high-seniority stakeholders across a diverse, multicultural franchise portfolio

Skills and knowledge

• IP: copyright, trademarks, licensing, brand governance
• Marketing/advertising and promotional compliance
• Talent, influencer, image rights
• Commercial agreements, partnerships and licensing structures
• Coordinating advice worldwide with internal and external stakeholders
• Fluent English is a must and French would be strongly appreciated.
