You’ll join a fast-growing performance marketing agency that works with established home-services businesses across the U.S. The agency has scaled quickly. Its accounts are getting bigger and more complex, so strong, long-term client partnerships are now central to its next stage of growth.

As SEO Manager, you'll own SEO end to end for those clients — strategy, hands-on execution, performance, and team-level delivery — with team members and AI agents supporting execution. It's a high-agency role with real responsibility and no layers of people management: you execute directly and step in on high-stakes launches and migrations. You'll report directly to the CEO, with a growth path to Senior SEO Manager and SEO Director. Editorial and content production are owned elsewhere.

Key Goals

• Year-over-year growth in qualified leads from Google Business Profiles and, tracked separately, from organic search.
• Stronger local map visibility (share of local visibility) for established profiles.
• More non-branded organic clicks to service-area pages, year over year. Targets are set every quarter in the SEO OKRs.

What You'll Do

• Portfolio and strategy. Be the primary SEO owner for each client, translate business goals into executable SEO plans, and define strategy across local, technical, content inputs (topics, structure, prioritization), and link-building direction.
• Local and on-page. Own Google Business Profile strategy and execution, citations and NAP consistency, on-page SEO, internal linking, content refreshes, and geo-focused pages — with consistent hygiene across large site footprints.
• Technical SEO. Fix crawlability, indexation, internal linking, and Core Web Vitals at the client level, partnering with the technical SEO specialists on audits and system-level changes.
• Launches and migrations. Own SEO for builds, redesigns, platform and domain changes with the web team, validating redirects, tracking, indexation, and performance so nothing regresses.
• Critical execution. Step in as the executor on high-priority, high-risk work across teams — urgent diagnostics, complex fixes, incidents, and recovery situations.
• Team operations. Lead team-level SEO delivery: own intake from Account Managers as their primary execution contact, turn requests into clear scopes and priorities, keep work in progress and blockers visible, and enforce QA, documentation, and sign-off.

What You Bring

• Typically 5+ years of SEO experience, or equivalent, including owning strategy and execution for 10+ clients at once.
• Deep local SEO experience with multi-location service businesses, with a track record of ranking Google Business Profiles in competitive markets.
• Hands-on experience leading the redirect work on at least one site migration.
• Solid technical SEO execution — you define the requirements instead of relying on developers to figure them out.
• Strong analytics and reporting fluency, advanced spreadsheet skills, and high attention to detail.
• Advanced or fluent English (C1+) and experience with U.S. clients; comfortable client-facing and alongside highly technical specialists.

• Agency or high-growth startup experience.
• Familiarity with home-services businesses.
• Experience with GEO / AI search optimization.
• Early AI adopter, with hands-on ChatGPT, Claude, and prompt engineering experience.
