Marketing Manager, Content & Product Marketing

Remote (minimum 4-hour overlap with US Eastern hours)  |  Content & Product Marketing  |  Reports to: Director of Marketing

Time Doctor is hiring a Marketing Manager to bring our content and product marketing strategy to market. The Director of Marketing sets the strategy and priorities. Your job is to decide how to bring them to life, drive the work from brief through production, distribution and optimisation, and use AI to increase the speed and scale of everything we ship.

Who we are

Time Doctor is a workforce analytics platform that gives distributed teams the visibility they need to improve trust and performance. We serve remote, hybrid and outsourced organisations worldwide, with particular strength in BPO, healthcare and tech services. We are bootstrapped, profitable and fully remote, with team members across 30+ countries. We built a durable business on customer revenue rather than venture capital, and we are now focused on growing it.

The role

You will own our content program and editorial calendar end to end, and take our product marketing priorities to market. This is a broad B2B SaaS role spanning content, product marketing, organic growth and brand. You connect priorities across those areas and make sure search and AI visibility opportunities turn into meaningful marketing activity.

Three things define this seat.

  • The remit. Broad by design. You own initiatives, not individual tasks, across content, product marketing, organic distribution and brand, and you are the person who connects them.

  • The autonomy. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role. The Director of Marketing sets the priorities. You decide how to deliver them, make the day-to-day execution calls and drive the work through to completion. We need your expertise and judgement, not someone waiting for detailed direction.

  • The operating model. AI is part of how our marketing team works and a core expectation of this role. That means orchestrating agents, building automated workflows and using AI-enabled systems to run recurring work at greater speed and scale.

How we think about AI

We expect you to use AI for research, briefing, ideation, drafting, editing, repurposing and analysis, and to go further: building more efficient ways of working so recurring marketing work runs faster and at greater scale.

We are not looking for someone who simply uses AI to create more content faster. Judgement still matters. That means understanding the audience, finding the right narrative, challenging generic output, protecting the brand and knowing when something is not good enough to publish. You should be able to show us how AI has materially improved the quality, speed or scale of marketing execution in your previous work.

Who you are

  • You own initiatives, not tasks. Give you a priority and you work out what needs to happen next.

  • You turn strategic direction into a clear plan, then move comfortably between running the program and doing the work yourself.

  • You have strong editorial judgement. You don't need to write everything, but you recognise excellent content and you know how to make weak content better.

  • You treat publication as the start of a piece's life, not the finish line.

  • You have a performance mindset. You use data to decide what to improve, scale or stop.

  • You bring people together. Designers, writers, agencies, freelancers and cross-functional partners deliver because you coordinate them well.

  • You build with AI, and your judgement is what keeps the output good.

  • You bring ideas and recommendations of your own, and you thrive working fully remote.

What you will own

  • The content program. The content program and editorial calendar end to end, translating marketing priorities into what gets created, when, and how it is delivered across website, editorial, product marketing and campaign needs.

  • Execution. Driving work independently from brief to publication, making the day-to-day calls, solving delivery problems, and producing or shaping high-quality work directly when needed.

  • Distribution and social. Organic content distribution and social, with plans that extend the life and reach of priority content.

  • Product marketing to market. Taking product marketing priorities to market through product launches, sales enablement, product content, competitive assets and other GTM materials.

  • Campaign support. Partnering with Revenue Marketing to turn campaign and program requirements into the content, messaging and assets needed for activation, coordinating delivery and reusing existing content wherever possible.

  • Thought leadership. Turning company research, original data and executive perspectives into compelling thought leadership and derivative content across formats and channels.

  • Customer proof. Case studies, testimonials, customer stories and advocacy content, built in partnership with customer-facing teams.

  • Search and AI visibility. Bringing SEO, AI visibility, content gaps and refresh opportunities into content planning, balanced against audience and business priorities.

  • Performance. Using content, distribution, organic search and AI visibility performance to understand what is working, and recommending what we should improve, expand, repurpose or stop.

  • AI in the workflow. Orchestrating agents, building automated workflows and using AI-enabled systems to streamline recurring marketing work.

This role may not suit you if

  • You need detailed direction on how the work should get done. The Director sets the priorities, and deciding how to deliver them is your job.

  • You want to specialise in one lane. This role spans content, product marketing, organic growth and brand.

  • You see publication as the finish line.

  • AI for you means producing more content faster. We need workflows that improve execution, and the judgement to know when output is not good enough.

  • You would rather set strategy than execute. This is an individual-contributor role and you will produce or shape work directly.

  • You cannot commit to at least four hours a day of overlap with US Eastern business hours.

What a realistic week looks like

Planning next month's editorial calendar against the Director's priorities and the latest search and AI visibility gaps. Briefing a freelancer and a designer on a product launch page, then editing the first draft into shape yourself. Turning an original data report into a blog post, a social series and a sales one-pager. A working session with Revenue Marketing on the assets their next campaign needs, most of them reused from existing content. Reviewing last month's content performance across organic search, AI visibility and social, and recommending what to refresh or stop. Tightening an agent workflow that drafts content refreshes. Live collaboration during US Eastern hours, async for the rest of the day.

Your experience

  • 5+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience across content and integrated marketing programs, independently owning initiatives rather than individual tasks.

  • Experience taking marketing initiatives from a priority or brief through planning, production, distribution and measurement.

  • Experience owning content programs or editorial calendars in a B2B environment.

  • Strong writing, editing and editorial judgement.

  • Hands-on knowledge of organic social and content distribution, including repurposing strong source material across formats and channels.

  • Familiarity with product marketing programs such as product launches, sales enablement or product-led content.

  • Working knowledge of SEO and how organic discovery is changing with AI search. You don't need to be a technical SEO specialist, but you understand how search and AI visibility inform content decisions.

  • Demonstrated AI use beyond individual productivity: agents, automations or AI-enabled workflows that materially improved marketing execution. You can show us what you built and what it changed.

  • Confidence working with designers, writers, agencies, freelancers and other contributors, and strong project and stakeholder management when several people are involved in delivering something.

  • A performance mindset. You are comfortable using data to decide what to improve, scale or stop.

  • Remote, with a minimum four-hour daily overlap with US Eastern (ET) business hours.

Nice to have

  • Experience with customer storytelling, executive thought leadership, original research or PR-adjacent content. We wouldn't expect one person to have done all of these.

  • Experience with tools in our stack: Storyblok, HubSpot, Asana, GA4, Figma or Canva, and SEO or AI visibility platforms.

  • Background in workforce analytics, time tracking, HR tech or productivity software.

The team you are joining

You will sit within our Content & Product Marketing function and report to our Director of Marketing. You will work closely with Revenue Marketing, Product, Sales, Customer Success and Growth to turn marketing priorities into cohesive programs and bring them to market. You don't need to have used every tool in our stack, but you should be highly effective with modern marketing systems and able to quickly learn, connect and improve the tools you work with.

How we will measure success

  • The content program delivered on plan against the Director's priorities, from brief through distribution.

  • Reach and performance of priority content across organic search, AI visibility and social.

  • Product launches, enablement and GTM assets delivered on time and put to use by Sales and Customer Success.

  • More value from every piece of source content through reuse and repurposing.

  • More output, at a higher standard, because of the AI workflows you build.

Why this role

  • You own initiatives end to end, with real autonomy over how the work gets done.

  • A broad remit across content, product marketing, organic growth and brand.

  • You work AI-first, on a marketing team where AI is already part of how the work gets done.

  • We are profitable and bootstrapped. Your budget comes from customers, not from a burn rate.

  • Fully remote and flexible, working with talented people in 30+ countries.

Our hiring approach

Because AI is a core expectation of this role, our process asks you to show us how you have used it to materially improve the quality, speed or scale of marketing execution. Expect to walk us through real work you have built or shipped.

This is a full-time, 100% remote role. We are an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity and inclusion. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status or disability.

We hire globally, and this particular role requires a minimum four-hour daily overlap with US Eastern business hours. Our Talent Attraction team will walk you through the details during your first conversation.
