Short Summary:
We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented software engineers responsible for building the technology that enables our communities, from small gatherings to our largest events.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the work of engineers and ensure best practices across software development, delivery, and operational excellence.
- Lead a team of Software Engineers, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance in an agile environment.
- Develop staff through coaching, timely feedback, performance assessments, and individualized development plans.
- Mentor current and future leaders, continuously raising the bar for technical excellence, leadership capability, and professional growth.
- Develop a future-state technology roadmap for the portfolio and provide regular updates on progress, outcomes, and key performance indicators.
- Partner closely with technology teams and business product owners to deliver impactful solutions in a collaborative, agile environment.
Requirement:
- Five (5+) years of relevant experience, including at least one (1) year of people management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven leadership capabilities as both a people leader and project leader.
- Familiarity with full stack development patterns and technologies such as React, RESTful design patterns, infrastructure as code, Postgres, NoSQL, and containerized and serverless architecture.
