Short Summary:
Toogeza is seeking a Social Media Manager for The Kyiv Independent, Ukraine’s largest English-language publication, to enhance its social media team and strengthen its international reach.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day social media operations.
- Publish and distribute news, articles, videos, and other materials across social media platforms.
- Adapt journalistic content for various platforms while maintaining accuracy.
- Collaborate with journalists and editors to create engaging social media content.
- Monitor the news cycle and identify opportunities for effective story presentation.
- Track performance and analyze social media data to adjust strategies.
- Support and launch creative social media initiatives and campaigns.
- Work in rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Requirement:
- Proven experience in social media management or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with major social media platforms, especially Instagram and Facebook.
- Strong understanding of LinkedIn and TikTok.
- Excellent written and spoken English (Upper-Intermediate to Advanced).
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt content for different platforms without losing context.
- Familiarity with multimedia content creation.
