Short Summary:
Join Terra One, a fast-growing company focused on developing and operating large-scale battery storage systems in Germany, as a Senior Quantitative Trader. This role involves taking P&L ownership of asset-backed trading and developing innovative trading strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Own P&L for asset-backed trading of battery energy storage.
- Develop trading strategies for battery energy storage systems.
- Develop battery optimization algorithms and further develop the battery optimization framework.
- Develop benchmarks for battery optimization and reporting.
- Partner with AI/ML experts to improve and expand deep learning models.
- Design and implement algorithmic trading strategies.
- Collaborate with software and data engineers in a product-owner capacity.
- Participate in day-to-day trade operations and on-call trading shifts.
Requirement:
- Minimum 2 years in proprietary or quantitative trading with proven P&L ownership.
- Strong quantitative/statistical background; experience in building price forecasting models.
- Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python & R).
- Familiarity with energy/power markets and battery storage optimization is a plus.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineers in agile settings.
