Position location: Akron, OH - ONSITE The Loss Prevention Coordinator provides administrative, analytical, and investigative support to the Loss Prevention Department. This role supports case management, loss reporting, financial reconciliation, law enforcement partnerships, and prosecution activities while maintaining accurate and confidential records. Key Responsibilities Support Regional Loss Prevention Managers with MPC report reconciliation, inventory adjustment requests, and review and approval of loss submissions in accordance with company guidelines. Maintain and analyze departmental reports, including weekly case activity, district alignment, external loss tracking, controllable incidents, employee injuries, and other operational metrics. Manage Loss Prevention correspondence and restitution activities, including processing mail, maintaining restitution records, filing court documents, and distributing legal and investigative communications. Maintain accurate case records and prosecution documentation within the Loss Prevention Management System (LPMS). Enter and update case information, review internal theft statements, prepare investigative documentation, and compile evidence such as loss calculations, merchandise images, surveillance documentation, and other materials needed for criminal prosecution and civil recovery. Partner with law enforcement, prosecutors, and external investigative organizations to support criminal investigations, repeat offender tracking, and organized retail crime initiatives. Create and maintain BOLO (Be On the Lookout) alerts, offender intelligence packets, and other investigative communications for distribution to appropriate internal and external partners. Support financial reconciliation and loss accounting activities, including transfers, journal entries, uninsured loss account balancing, replenishment requests, and documentation for robbery and burglary claims. Protect and maintain confidential and sensitive investigative information in accordance with company policies and procedures. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Key Skills and Qualifications Strong ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with field Loss Prevention teams, law enforcement, prosecutors, and external investigative partners. Experience gathering, organizing, and presenting information or evidence for investigative or legal purposes. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, case management systems, and investigative databases. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Knowledge of retail Loss Prevention, organized retail crime, investigations, or related practices preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Signet Jewelers is a people-first company.
