We are a tech company building interactive, multi-user video experiences powered by AI. We're looking for a hands-on Backend Technical Lead to lead our Billing team while staying close to the code.

What you will do

Lead system design for new features and complex changes; maintain architecture docs and ADRs.
Drive code quality, review standards, and engineering practices (testing, CI/CD, operational readiness).
Lead technical incident response and write post-mortems with clear root causes.
Translate product requirements into technical solutions and well-decomposed tasks.
Mentor engineers through design sessions, pairing, and code reviews.
Coordinate technical dependencies with other teams; represent the team in architecture reviews.

Must-have

Proven technical leadership — leading design, mentoring engineers, owning architecture.
Strong backend experience in Golang and/or PHP, including production use of Go.
Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB or similar) and relational (PostgreSQL or similar) databases.
Experience designing and evolving backend architectures — APIs, data flows, service decomposition.
Solid grasp of testing practices (unit, integration, E2E) and CI/CD pipelines.
Able to communicate technical trade-offs clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
English B1+.

Nice to have

Experience with video/media processing or transcoding pipelines.
Experience defining SLIs/SLOs in production.
Understanding of message brokers and event-driven architectures (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar).
