Performance Marketing & CRM Manager

About TalkShopLive

TalkShopLive is a leading video commerce platform connecting fans with the artists, authors and celebrities they love through exclusive shopping experiences.

Our Marketplace is a premier destination for signed books, music, limited-edition releases and exclusive collectibles, bringing fans closer to their favourite talent through shoppable livestreams, video content and direct-to-consumer commerce.

We’re looking for a commercially driven Performance Marketing & CRM Manager to accelerate growth across our Marketplace, acquiring new customers, increasing repeat purchases and turning our content and customer relationships into measurable revenue.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on growth role at the intersection of entertainment, content and e-commerce.

You’ll own performance marketing across paid media, email and SMS, building campaigns that connect fans with exclusive products and experiences from some of the biggest names in music, publishing and entertainment.

You’ll have access to a unique content engine: celebrity livestreams, exclusive product launches, artist interviews, product demonstrations and short-form shoppable clips.

Your job is to turn that content into a scalable customer acquisition and revenue engine. You’ll also be a strategic partner to leadership and Product, shaping how the Marketplace grows and how we build and measure what our buyers see.

We are looking for someone who understands the full e-commerce funnel, from discovering new audiences to converting first-time buyers and building long-term customer value.

What You’ll Own

1. Paid Media & Customer Acquisition

• Develop and execute paid acquisition strategies across Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube and other relevant channels.
• Build and optimize campaigns around celebrity livestreams, signed merchandise, book launches, album releases and exclusive collectibles.
• Leverage short-form video, shoppable clips and creator-led content to drive product discovery and conversion.
• Own campaign budgets, audience targeting, creative testing, retargeting and ongoing optimization.
• Build strategies to reach new audiences beyond existing artist and author fan bases.
• Continuously improve return on ad spend (ROAS), customer acquisition cost (CAC) and conversion rates.
• Identify opportunities to scale successful campaigns and product categories profitably.

2. HubSpot, Email, SMS & CRM

• Own HubSpot as a revenue-generating marketing platform for the TalkShopLive Marketplace.
• Own SMS alongside email, including the weekly newsletter, dedicated artist and author sends, and sale campaigns.
• Develop and execute a high-performing email and SMS calendar tied to product launches, artist releases, exclusive offers and livestream events.
• Segment audiences based on purchase history, artist affinity, music genres, book interests and customer engagement.
• Build automated customer journeys, including welcome sequences, abandoned checkout recovery, post-purchase campaigns, cross-selling and reactivation.
• Execute ongoing A/B testing across subject lines, content, offers, audience segments and send times.
• Grow the active, engaged customer database while maintaining strong deliverability and subscriber health.
• Increase email-attributed revenue, revenue per recipient, repeat purchase rates and customer lifetime value.

3. E-commerce Conversion & Revenue Growth

• Take ownership of marketing performance across the customer journey, from initial discovery to completed purchase.
• Analyze customer behaviour, product performance and conversion funnels to identify revenue opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve landing pages, product discovery, checkout experiences and marketing attribution.
• Develop strategies to maximize revenue from both new releases and existing Marketplace inventory.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling between artists, authors, genres and product collections.
• Optimize campaigns around product availability, release schedules, margins and inventory.

4. Content-Led Performance Marketing

• Partner with Marketplace, Creative and LiveOps teams to identify the strongest moments from livestreams and transform them into high-performing marketing assets.
• Be the first and heaviest user of our clips and AI content tools, and help define the high-converting moments we surface automatically for ads and email.
• Test different creative formats, including celebrity-led video, product demonstrations, vertical clips, static creative and promotional offers.
• Develop repeatable strategies for extending the commercial value of livestream content well beyond the original event, growing sales from replays and clips long after the live ends.
• Use performance insights to inform future content production, campaign creative and promotional strategy.
• Build an always-on marketing approach that combines tentpole celebrity launches with ongoing customer engagement and sales.

5. Analytics, Reporting & Optimization

• Build clear reporting across paid media, HubSpot and e-commerce revenue.
• Track and optimize against core commercial KPIs, led by contribution margin percentage after marketing spend, alongside ROAS, CAC, conversion rate, email-attributed revenue, revenue per recipient, repeat purchase rate and customer lifetime value.
• Establish attribution and measurement frameworks that connect marketing activity to actual transactions.
• Develop forecasts, performance dashboards and regular recommendations for investment and optimization.
• Make data-driven decisions about where to invest marketing resources to generate the greatest return.

6. Growth Strategy & Partner Marketing

• Partner with leadership on Marketplace growth strategy and on how we position TalkShopLive as the curated home for signed books and music.
• Work hand in hand with Product: bring buyer and campaign insight into quarterly roadmap planning, and own launch marketing for every buyer-facing feature.
• Build joint marketing with talent, labels and publishers that uses their own channels and fan bases, in a way we can later package as a marketing offer for partners.

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in performance marketing or growth marketing, with direct-to-consumer e-commerce experience required.
• Demonstrated success managing paid media campaigns that generate measurable online sales.
• Strong working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads and paid social advertising.
• Hands-on experience with HubSpot, including email and SMS campaigns, segmentation, workflows, automation and reporting.
• Experience working with a consumer e-commerce business where revenue, conversion and customer acquisition are primary success metrics.
• Strong understanding of customer acquisition economics, ROAS, CAC, customer lifetime value and marketing attribution.
• Experience developing and testing creative, particularly video and social-first content.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate performance data into actionable growth strategies.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, independently executing campaigns while contributing to broader growth strategy.

Especially Valuable

• Experience in music, entertainment, publishing, collectibles, merchandise or fan-driven commerce.
• Experience marketing limited-edition products, exclusive drops, preorders or time-sensitive product launches.
• Experience with Shopify or similar direct-to-consumer commerce platforms.
• Familiarity with GA4, conversion tracking, pixels, UTMs and e-commerce analytics.
• Experience building automated CRM journeys and scaling email-driven revenue.
• Understanding of creator-led marketing, influencer content, livestream shopping and social commerce.
• A habit of using AI every day to scale creative, segmentation and reporting.

What Success Looks Like

In your first six months, you will have:

• Established a measurable, repeatable paid customer acquisition strategy for the Marketplace.
• Built HubSpot into a stronger revenue-generating channel through segmentation, automation and campaign optimization.
• Developed an ongoing testing program to identify the highest-converting content, audiences and products.
• Improved marketing efficiency through stronger attribution, reporting and budget allocation.
• Increased revenue from existing customers while creating scalable pathways to acquire new buyers.
• Created a performance marketing playbook that can be applied across celebrity launches, signed books, music releases and exclusive collectibles.
• Grown contribution margin after marketing spend, alongside ROAS and CAC, and increased sales from replays and clips long after each livestream ends.

Who Will Thrive Here

You’re both a strategist and an executor.

You know how to build campaigns, manage budgets, analyze performance and improve results yourself. You’re commercially minded and understand that marketing success is ultimately measured by sales and profitable customer growth.

You appreciate great storytelling and entertainment, but you’re equally comfortable analyzing conversion funnels, testing audiences and optimizing a campaign.

Most importantly, you’re excited by the opportunity to build a modern, content-led e-commerce growth engine around some of the world’s most recognizable talent.
