Description
The Evaluator is responsible for the electrical testing and evaluation of transformers. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role.
- Evaluate various types of units which include internal and external visual inspections, electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Collect dimensions, measurements, take photos, and complete drawings to document findings for fabrication options.
- Follow minimum and maximum guidelines on inventory thresholds needs.
- Operate tablet to complete data collection for inventory equipment and complete evaluations.
- Partner with other departments on the results of the units after evaluation.
- Complete virtual warehouse transactions.
- Maintains internal quality standards and compliance with all safety factors.
- Provide reporting and data metrics to management.
- Provides training, support and assistance to novice and specialist evaluators.
- Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
- Other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements
- HS diploma/GED required.
- Technical or Vocational school preferred.
- Basic skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
- 1-3 years of transformer experience preferred.
- 1-3 years of mechanical and/or electrical field experience preferred.
- Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred.
- OSHA10 certification preferred.
- Proven track record in safety excellence is required.
- Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders.
- Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment.
- Adheres to the company’s employee handbook policies and embodies the organization’s core values.
- Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Standing and walking for long durations
- Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for long durations
- The ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times
- Comfortable working in the heat and cold due to manufacturing facilities not being climate controlled
