Middle Google Ads Strategist

If you want full ownership of your accounts, a direct line to a 20-year paid media veteran, and a seat on the team while a company goes from $15M to $50M, keep reading.

Stryker Digital is one of the fastest-growing home service marketing agencies in the United States. We went from $0 to a $15M/year run rate in under five years, with 600+ home service businesses on recurring retainers. Now we're building out the Google Ads team, and you'd be one of the first account managers on it.

You report directly to our Director of Paid Media, who has 20+ years in the seat. You own your book of accounts end to end: strategy, budgets, creative, and the client relationship. You're on the calls. You're presenting the numbers. You're the reason they renew.

We don't care where you learned this or how long you've been doing it. We care that you can show us accounts you took over and made better. If you can point at spend you managed and calls you drove for real businesses with trucks on the road, we want to talk.

This role is fully remote.

About the Role

As a Google Ads Strategist at Stryker Digital, you’ll be the strategic and tactical lead for paid search campaigns across our home service clients. You’ll own and manage a portfolio of accounts, working directly with business owners to launch, scale, and optimize campaigns that deliver measurable ROI.

This is not just another ad buyer role. You’ll be at the frontline of client relationships, from onboarding to weekly optimizations to monthly performance reviews. You’ll write compelling copy, manage ad budgets, oversee creative direction, and ensure our campaigns are profitable-fast.

With the Google Ads department in its early stages, this is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping how we scale one of the most critical parts of our business.

Responsibilities

• Client Management: Serve as the day-to-day contact for assigned accounts, communicating via Slack, video, and email.

• Google Ads Execution: Build, manage, and optimize paid search campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Display, LSA).

• Onboarding: Guide new clients through the onboarding process and collaborate with internal teams to launch campaigns fast.

• Performance Reviews: Lead monthly video calls to walk clients through performance, discuss strategy, and upsell when appropriate.

• Reporting & Analysis: Present data in a way that highlights business outcomes, not just vanity metrics.

• Collaboration: Coordinate with internal landing page designers, conversion tracking specialists, and leadership team.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ Years of Experience: Google Ads experience required, preferably working with local service businesses or inside a digital agency.

• Client-Facing Skills: You’ve led strategy calls, handled objections, and built real relationships.

• Performance Obsessed: You know how to stretch a budget, drive conversions, and scale what works.

• Detail-Oriented: You can juggle multiple accounts without dropping a ball-and your Slack messages and reports are polished.

• Growth-Minded: You’re looking to take ownership, grow with a high-performing team, and make your mark in a fast-scaling department.

• Bonus Skills: Familiarity with GoHighLevel, GA4, Monday.com, and Slack is a major plus.

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 USD/year (based on experience)

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM EST

Location: Remote

Benefits:

• Monthly tax-free healthcare stipend for marketplace coverage

Our Core Values

Competitive Greatness
We show up strongest when it matters most. We don't avoid hard things, we go straight at them. We do the hard stuff first: hard conversations, hard decisions, and uncomfortable work we've been putting off. We build confidence through action, not talk.

Sincere Candor
We believe feedback is a requirement to get better, not a personal attack. Candor is expected from day one, at every level, in every direction. We tell the truth, especially when it's uncomfortable.

Unimpeachable Character
We do the right thing when no one's watching. No shortcuts, no lies, no excuses. We take ownership, step in, and solve problems without finger-pointing.
