Stratom, Inc. is a mission-driven engineering company building autonomous and unmanned off-highway vehicles and related robotic systems. Our systems operate in demanding real-world environments, where performance, reliability, and engineering discipline are essential. Integrating advanced autonomy with rugged industrial hardware for austere conditions.
Our work spans the full lifecycle of complex systems, from early concept and prototyping through fielded deployment. With multiple working prototypes in hand, our next major opportunity is transitioning these platforms into production over the coming years to deliver capable systems at scale. We are looking for talented and experienced engineers who want to take ownership of hard problems and play a key role in bringing multiple platforms into production.
About the Role
This role is for a senior embedded software engineer who is comfortable working across architecture, implementation, hardware integration, and verification. You will develop the vehicle control software that sits between autonomy and the physical machine on rugged robotic and ground vehicle systems, where embedded design decisions directly affect safety, reliability, testability, and field supportability.
The successful candidate will own embedded subsystems from early architecture and interface definition through bring-up, testing, field deployment, and long-term maintenance. This includes defining task scheduling and data flow, implementing drivers and control logic on microcontroller-based targets, building the test infrastructure that proves the software works, and helping define the low-level safety mechanisms that keep autonomous vehicles in a safe state. You will work closely with the autonomy, electrical, mechanical, and systems teams, and play a key part in defining how vehicle control and autonomy work together. As Stratom moves multiple platforms from prototype to production, this role will help shape embedded software that is not only functional but also robust, verifiable, maintainable, and ready for deployment at scale.
