Position Summary:
We are seeking a senior Physical Access Control System (PACS) consultant to provide technical leadership for the implementation, integration, and support of a next-generation enterprise access control platform. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to the business and project teams, working closely with the selected vendor to ensure a scalable, secure, and supportable solution.
The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with enterprise PACS platforms, preferably AMAG Symmetry, along with strong integration, architecture, and operational support expertise. The individual should be comfortable working across physical security, application architecture, cloud technologies, and enterprise integrations.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience supporting, upgrading and implementing enterprise Physical Access Control Systems (PACS)
- Strong hands-on experience with AMAG Symmetry (highly preferred)
- Experience with PACS architecture, badge management, access provisioning, alarms, readers, controllers, and Field Control Panels
- Experience working with PACS vendors, system integrators, and implementation teams
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience
- Experience with enterprise application integrations and APIs
- Experience supporting highly available, multi-site systems
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AMAG Connect and/or Guest.
- Experience with AWS, cloud-hosted, or hybrid architectures
- Experience with Kafka, event streaming, messaging platforms, or real-time integration architectures
- Experience integrating PACS with identity management, HR systems, PSIM, VMS, IDS, or ServiceNow
- Experience with CyberArk, SIEM platforms, Splunk, or enterprise monitoring tools
- Utility, critical infrastructure, or NERC CIP-regulated industry experience
- Experience supporting large-scale security modernization or PACS replacement initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the PACS technical SME and advisor to project and support teams
- Review architecture, design, integration, and implementation plans provided by the vendor
- Support PACS upgrade activities
- Define operational support, monitoring, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity requirements
- Guide integrations with enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and security systems
- Assist with testing and production readiness
- Provide technical leadership throughout implementation and stabilization
Summary:
Seeking a senior PACS consultant with deep AMAG Symmetry expertise who can lead/assist a large AMAG Symmetry upgrade to V11. AMAG experience is the top qualification. AWS, Kafka, enterprise integrations, and utility/critical infrastructure experience are strong differentiators.
