Position Summary

Seeking an experienced IAM Authentication Product Owner to support the strategic direction, roadmap execution, and operational management of enterprise authentication services.

This role serves as the liaison between business stakeholders, engineering teams, cybersecurity, and operations to ensure secure, scalable, and user-friendly authentication solutions are delivered and maintained.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in identity and authentication services within large, highly regulated organizations, preferably financial services. This individual will support authentication modernization initiatives, manage critical identity services, and drive operational excellence while maintaining strong security and access control standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product lifecycle, roadmap, and backlog for enterprise authentication services, including Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Okta, MFA, SSO, Windows Hello for Business (WHfB), and password management.

• Partner with business, security, engineering, and infrastructure teams to define requirements, prioritize work, and deliver secure, scalable, and compliant authentication capabilities.

• Drive identity modernization initiatives, including cloud authentication adoption, Conditional Access, Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR), Active Directory improvements, and authentication platform migrations.

• Manage authentication and directory-related risks by ensuring alignment with cybersecurity policies, regulatory requirements, audit controls, and identity governance standards.

• Monitor platform health, resolve product issues, improve user experience, reduce authentication-related incidents, and drive continuous service improvements.

• Establish and maintain authentication standards, onboarding patterns, and governance processes for new applications and enterprise identity services.

• Coordinate with vendors, architects, and engineering teams to evaluate new capabilities, support platform enhancements, and ensure successful delivery of authentication initiatives.

• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including authentication availability, MFA adoption, password reset reduction, Active Directory hygiene, user satisfaction, and roadmap delivery effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in identity and authentication services within large, highly regulated organizations, preferably financial services.

• Experience as a Product Owner supporting enterprise authentication services, product roadmaps, backlog management, and agile delivery practices.

• Experience supporting and governing:

  • Active Directory

  • Microsoft Entra ID

  • Okta Identity Provider

  • Password Management Platforms

  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

  • Single Sign-On (SSO)

  • Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR)

• Strong understanding of:

  • Active Directory architecture and administration

  • Hybrid identity environments

  • Password lifecycle management

  • Credential security best practices

  • Identity governance and access controls

• Knowledge of enterprise workforce authentication technologies, including Conditional Access, Windows Hello for Business (WHfB), and FIDO2/Passkeys.

• Experience partnering with product management, engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to deliver authentication services and modernization initiatives.
