Position Summary

Seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst with strong SQL and SAS skills and experience leveraging Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to develop business intelligence and advanced analytics solutions.

This role focuses on analyzing non-IT business problems, identifying process improvement opportunities, gathering complex business requirements, and developing data-driven solutions that support business objectives.

The position requires strong analytical, technical, and communication skills, with the ability to partner with business stakeholders, IT execution teams, and data engineering teams to deliver scalable analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze non-IT business problems and articulate requirements to support process improvement opportunities.
• Develop frameworks for assessing financial payback and evaluating alternative solutions.
• Identify potential solutions and provide recommendations based on business needs.
• Prepare documentation of current and desired business processes.
• Gather complex business requirements by partnering with customers to define business problems and data needs.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical frameworks.
• Develop requirements and establish a common understanding between process owners and solution developers.
• Assess process performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead the development and implementation of business intelligence solutions involving data visualization, data transformation, and data collection.
• Utilize multiple data structures and sources to support business intelligence and advanced analytics initiatives.
• Leverage Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) in analytics solutions.
• Partner with IT execution and data engineering teams to develop analytic infrastructures, scalable data pipelines, and related business intelligence solutions.
• Apply data visualization best practices to identify and interpret trends and patterns while following enterprise branding standards.
• Incorporate prototyping, usability, and end-user experience considerations into dashboards, reports, insights, and analytical products.
• Collaborate on technical standards, governance practices, process frameworks, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support responsible AI practices in the development and implementation of analytics solutions.
• Apply innovative scientific and quantitative analytical approaches to draw conclusions and make business recommendations.
• Influence data, information, and application architecture decisions through systems thinking.
• Support reliable, high-quality data for analytics solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills.
• Strong SAS skills.
• Experience leveraging Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience gathering complex business requirements and translating business problems into analytical solutions.
• Experience with business intelligence solutions, including data visualization, data transformation, and data collection.
• Understanding of multiple data structures and data sources.
• Experience with analytic infrastructures, data engineering, or related business intelligence initiatives.
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices, prototyping, usability, and end-user experience.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess business processes and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, IT execution teams, and data engineering teams.
• Understanding of technical standards, governance practices, process frameworks, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to influence data, information, and application architecture decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Full-time employment experience within large banks or fintech organizations.
• Credit experience.
