About the Role
Application Analyst, EAM Release Management
This is a versatile IT Analyst position that performs work related to application release management, production support, delivery, or a combination of these functions.
- In the Release Management role, coordinates release readiness, deployment planning, implementation activities, communications, technical and functional checkout tracking, go/no-go decision support, issue escalation, and post-release follow-up for Enterprise Asset Management applications and related IT solutions.
- Supports major releases, sprint releases, emergency releases, maintenance activities, and off-cycle deployments across application, mobility, integration, analytics, GIS, design tools, environment management, application maintenance, business support, and Change Management teams.
- Develops and maintains release plans, deployment timelines, milestone schedules, readiness checkpoints, contact lists, communication schedules, go/no-go materials, status trackers, risk registers, and action-item logs.
- Ensures release artifacts are accurate, current, and available to the teams responsible for planning, approving, implementing, testing, and supporting assigned releases.
- Coordinates release planning discussions, status meetings, pre-job briefings, readiness reviews, deployment activities, and post-release follow-up sessions.
- Collects and consolidates updates from application leads, technical teams, environment teams, test coordinators, business support organizations, vendors, and other release participants.
- Tracks dependencies, open issues, blockers, risks, decisions, and outstanding actions through completion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of related business or information technology experience.
- Experience coordinating application releases, deployments, implementation activities, or production changes.
- Experience developing and maintaining release plans, implementation schedules, readiness trackers, status reports, risk logs, and action-item trackers.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Experience coordinating work across application, infrastructure, database, environment, testing, vendor, and business teams.
- Working knowledge of Change Management, incident management, application support, testing, and production implementation practices.
- Ability to track multiple workstreams, dependencies, risks, decisions, and milestones simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to technical teams, business partners, users, IT management, and leadership.
