Lottery Content Manager (15530)
The Montana Lottery is more than Scratch tickets and big jackpots — we’re a Montana‑built organization that reinvests directly into the communities we serve. Since voters created the Lottery in 1986, we’ve been focused on delivering fun, responsible entertainment while generating meaningful revenue for the state. To date, we’ve awarded more than $1.06 billion in prizes and returned over $386.5 million to support important state programs and local economies. Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Content Manager who sees storytelling not just as a skill, but as a strategic advantage. As a state agency with the heart of a business, we move with intention, innovate with purpose, and expect our brand to reflect the professionalism and creativity of a modern enterprise.
This role is the agency’s first line of communication — the voice that shapes how we show up to the public, partners, and media. The ideal candidate brings exceptional writing and speaking abilities, website management, along with seasoned media relations experience, ensuring our message is clear, consistent, and compelling across every channel.
If you thrive on crafting messages that move people, elevate brands, and drive engagement, you might be the creative force we’re searching for. You’ll also create and maintain a positive image for the Lottery by directing public-facing promotional and informational communications about the Montana Lottery and all our products.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Create and manage communications that keep the public and partners informed about Montana Lottery initiatives.
Lead content strategy across all Lottery-owned channels, including the website, social media, and in-location digital displays.
Maintain brand consistency by serving as the final editor for all public-facing written and visual content.
Contribute to departmental leadership and agency-wide strategic planning.
Oversee all promotional and informational content for Montana Lottery and its products.
Build and maintain website content using tools such as WordPress.
Collaborate with IT and creative teams to improve and troubleshoot digital advertising displays.
Analyze user behavior with tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to guide content decisions.
Manage communication platforms (e.g. GovDelivery) and ensure seamless integration with internal data systems.
Lead and support a team of content creators.
Coordinate sponsorships and community partnerships, including proposal review and fulfillment.
