SS&C Advent, a leading provider of software and services for the global investment management industry. We are seeking a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer to join our Managed Services team. The successful candidate will possess strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, along with the initiative and curiosity needed to thrive in a collaborative and evolving environment.

What You Will Get To Do

• Install, configure, and maintain SS&C Advent proprietary applications
• Upgrade and support Geneva client environments across the Managed Services platform
• Investigate and resolve production issues within Geneva environments
• Respond to ongoing service requests across a diverse portfolio of Managed Services clients
• Assist with the testing, documentation, and enhancement of operational runbooks
• Collaborate closely with team members and provide guidance and mentoring to junior colleagues
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, technical documentation, and operational procedures
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency across the client estate
• Manage infrastructure and platform projects from implementation through to production support
• Participate in the team’s on-call rotation
• Contribute to a global 24x7x365 Technical Operations organisation focused on delivering exceptional service and client success

What You Will Bring

• Strong experience administering enterprise applications, ideally within financial services or other highly regulated environments
• Significant Systems Administration experience supporting complex enterprise environments
• Extensive experience providing application and system support, including working with software vendors and third-party support teams to resolve technical issues
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
• Experience managing cloud and virtualised environments incorporating technologies such as Linux, Windows Server, Citrix, and VMware
• Windows Server administration experience in an enterprise environment
• Experience with scripting, automation, and configuration management technologies such as Shell, PowerShell, Chef, Jenkins, or comparable tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both internal stakeholders and clients
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, balancing project delivery, operational support, and service commitments
• Strong learning agility and the ability to quickly adopt and support new technologies

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience supporting or administering SS&C Advent Geneva
• Experience within financial services technology environments
• Experience supporting business-critical enterprise platforms
• Exposure to infrastructure automation, DevOps practices, or cloud-native technologies
