Short Summary:
Spring Health is seeking a VP, Privacy Officer to lead US and Global privacy strategy, ensuring high standards of data protection in a high-growth health tech startup.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the designated US Privacy and Global Data Protection Officer.
- Lead and mentor the privacy legal team.
- Develop legal strategies for healthcare privacy and AI.
- Architect a comprehensive privacy framework compliant with GDPR, HIPAA, and local regulations.
- Act as an advisor on privacy implications of emerging technologies.
- Oversee enterprise-wide privacy risk assessments.
- Direct response strategy for data incidents and breaches.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams during contract negotiations.
- Define and maintain privacy policies.
- Partner with the People Team on internal data practices.

Requirement:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) and active membership in at least one state bar.
- 12+ years of legal experience, with 8+ years focused on data privacy, security, and healthcare law.
- Proven track record in leading privacy teams in a global tech environment.
- Expertise in HIPAA/HITECH, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and knowledge of international frameworks.
- Professional privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E).
- Exceptional communication skills for translating legal requirements into business strategies.
- Experience with privacy complexities of AI in regulated industries.
