Short Summary:
Spring Health is seeking a Senior Specialist, Payroll to manage domestic payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role involves collaboration with the Total Rewards & People Operations team and may require occasional travel for events.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute multi-state semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll runs.
- Audit and reconcile payroll-related inputs, including wages and deductions.
- Coordinate employee lifecycle changes and benefits deductions with People Operations.
- Handle registration and tax compliance for multiple jurisdictions.
- Review and update internal payroll tax procedures.
- Support year-end operations and payroll tax filing verifications.
- Conduct routine audits of benefit plan payroll deductions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries.
- Collaborate on payroll system workflows to enhance operational speed.
- Compile detailed payroll reporting insights for compliance documentation.
Requirement:
- 5+ years of payroll administration experience with multi-state tax compliance.
- In-depth understanding of wage-and-hour laws and payroll tax guidelines.
- Experience managing payroll systems and data updates.
- Strong technical capability in data verification tools and pivot tables.
- Proven analytical skills to audit datasets and diagnose payroll issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality with sensitive records.
