The company recently raised $50 million in Series B funding, led by Keith Rabois at Khosla Ventures, bringing its total funding to more than $80 million. *This is an existing vacancy ABOUT THE ROLE As a Solutions Engineer at Spellbook, you'll be the technical backbone of our sales organization. Partnering closely with our Account Executives, you'll ensure prospects have a frictionless evaluation experience, from first login through trial to close. You'll own the technical side of the buying journey: resolving setup and authentication issues, answering security and data privacy questions with confidence, connecting integrations for mid-market and enterprise customers, and giving prospective customers the assurance that Spellbook fits securely into their practice. This role is fully remote and open to candidates located in Canada. RESPONSIBILITIES - Partner with Account Executives to support prospects throughout their evaluation, serving as the technical trusted advisor across the sales cycle. - Resolve setup, authentication, and app download issues for prospects pre-trial so evaluations start smoothly. - Field technical support, security, and data privacy questions from prospects and customers. - Speak confidently to the benefits of our data security certifications and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA) with legal, IT, and security stakeholders. - Connect and configure existing integrations for mid-market and enterprise customers. - Support large-scale document and data migrations for new and prospective customers. - Provide front-line fixes for bugs and functionality issues affecting in-trial accounts, escalating to Engineering when needed and owning issues through resolution. - Support technical demonstrations and proofs of concept that address prospects' unique business objectives. - Work cross-functionally with IT to complete RFPs and security questionnaires as part of the sales cycle. - Create and maintain technical content and documentation so prospects and customers are successful using Spellbook. - Become a product expert across the Spellbook platform and understand the competitor landscape. - Perform any additional tasks assigned by management that contribute to the improvement of the sales team or achievement of revenue goals, including but not limited to attending events/conferences or hosting internal training sessions. QUALIFICATIONS - 2+ years of experience in a solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical support, or similar customer-facing technical role, ideally in SaaS or B2B environments. - Strong understanding of security and data privacy frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, PIPEDA) and the ability to articulate their business benefits with confidence. - Experience troubleshooting authentication (e.g., SSO/SAML), application deployment, and account setup issues. - Hands-on experience connecting and configuring software integrations for mid-market and enterprise customers. - Familiarity with large-scale document and data migrations. - Able to clearly articulate technical concepts and business benefits to both technical and non-technical audiences, including lawyers and IT teams. - Strong ability to understand customer pain points and position solutions that meet their needs. - A self-starter with a bias towards action, energized by a fast-paced environment and able to thrive in an unstructured one. - Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed team. - Proficient with tools like HubSpot, or equivalent, for tracking and managing customer interactions. - Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. OUR COMPENSATION PHILOSOPHY Spellbook uses industry benchmark data to establish compensation bands for all roles. The salary range listed for a position reflects the expected total wage range for the role—including base salary and on-target commissions, where applicable—and may span multiple career levels. Final compensation is determined during the interview process based on factors such as experience, skills, scope, and role level. In addition to base salary and applicable commissions, total rewards may include equity, health and wellness benefits, and other company programs.
