ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, develop, test, and maintain software components throughout the software development lifecycle.
Develop and enhance Java/Scala-based REST APIs based on technical designs and business requirements.
Collaborate with Business Analysts and technical teams to identify design gaps and implement functionality improvements.
Build, configure, and support scalable software solutions using modern development frameworks and tools.
Create and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and application reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, test, and production environments.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
Support application deployments, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

5+ years of experience in software development and application support.
Strong experience with Java and REST API development.
Experience with JavaScript and modern web application development practices.
Experience developing and consuming RESTful services.
Knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and secure coding practices.
Experience with unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting complex applications.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience working in AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience supporting CMS, Federal Government, or healthcare systems.
Experience working with NoSQL databases.
Experience working within Agile development teams.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
