ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support operational monitoring of Data Services Hub systems during assigned shifts, including periodic night and off-hours coverage as required by project needs.
- Participate in rotational on-call support during critical business periods, including Open Enrollment, under the guidance of senior team members.
- Monitor application and system health using tools such as Splunk, New Relic, and other monitoring platforms across production and pre-production environments.
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing Change Requests (CRs) and Remedy Tickets (RTs).
- Escalate issues, incidents, and potential risks to senior analysts and management in a timely manner.
- Support monitoring activities for Production and IMP environments.
- Assist in performing initial investigation and root cause analysis of production issues.
- Work collaboratively with TDS, XOC, Operations, and other support teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Prepare and distribute operational reports, including bi-hourly and daily status reports.
- Perform initial triage of production incidents and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Follow established operational procedures, reporting standards, and best practices.
- Support integrated partners and operations teams in incident resolution and service restoration activities.
- Assist with testing, validation, and analysis activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop an understanding of networking concepts and communication protocols relevant to the environment.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Systems Analysis, IT Operations, Application Support, Software Development, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of business processes, system functionality, and data flows.
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) concepts.
- Foundational knowledge of Java or another programming language.
- Ability to learn and adapt in fast-paced environments with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience or coursework related to:
- Initial event and incident triage
- Issue categorization and prioritization
- Troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Escalation procedures
- Change management and change control processes
- Understanding of system security, data protection, and operational best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Candidates must have lived in the United States for at least 3 of the past 5 years.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, New Relic, Open Search or similar platforms through work, internships, or academic projects.
- Experience supporting applications, production environments, or help desk/service desk operations.
- Exposure to cloud technologies, application support, or system administration.
- Healthcare industry experience or knowledge is a plus.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant internships, academic projects, or up to 2 years of related professional experience.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL Foundation, or similar certifications are a plus.
