The Opportunity

We’re looking for a builder. As an Account Executive, you’ll drive sales of our fast-growing music, sound effects, and video content-licensing plans to businesses of all sizes, from startups and agencies to Fortune 500 marketing and creative teams. Our product is built to be easy to buy and easy to use, much like a small or mid-market SaaS product: straightforward plans, quick decisions, and short sales cycles, often with a handful of stakeholders rather than a committee of twenty.

This is a quota-carrying role for someone who is scrappy, resourceful, and genuinely excited to build in the music segment. You’ll work both inbound leads, outbound prospecting, and you’ll help shape how we sell as we grow. You don’t need a perfect playbook to get started. You’ll help write it.

In this role, you will:

• Own a quota and drive to exceed it by selling Soundstripe’s two core business offerings: Standard Business Plans (soundstripe.com/enterprise) and our API Sublicensing Plan (soundstripe.com/enterprise-api).
• Run the sales cycle yourself: discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation, and close.
• Build pipeline from scratch through outbound outreach, marketing leads, customer referrals, partner and executive introductions, and your own network. Try new channels and double down on what works.
• Sell API sublicensing to platforms, apps, and software companies that want to offer licensed music to their own users, and help them understand how the model works and why it’s valuable.
• Learn our product and licensing rules well enough to explain Soundstripe’s unique value crisply in a crowded content-licensing marketplace.
• Work closely with the other Account Executive and the Head of Sales to align on target accounts, sales strategies, messaging, and demos.
• Keep HubSpot clean and current, and share what you learn from the field (objections, competitors, pricing feedback, ideas) so we can improve the product and the process.
• Write and present proposals and SOWs.

Who will love this job

A builder. You’d rather create the playbook than follow one. You see an open field and get excited, not overwhelmed.

Scrappy. You make things happen with the resources at hand. You test, learn, adjust, and keep moving without waiting for permission or perfect conditions.

Excited by music. You’re energized by the music and creator economy and want to help build a leading player in this space. You don’t have to be a musician, but you should care.

An achiever. You have a track record of meeting and exceeding goals and a drive to keep raising the bar.

A problem-solver.
You’re curious and genuinely enjoy finding solutions that fit what a customer actually needs.

A juggler. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage many priorities without letting things slip.

A connector. You enjoy a high volume of sales activity and building real relationships with customers, virtually and in person.

An excellent communicator. You listen with empathy and can talk to people at every level and technical background, from a solo creator to a CMO to an engineering lead.

A standout colleague.
You do your best work with a team and lift others up while you’re at it.

You value what we value. We believe our Core Values make Soundstripe special. We prioritize them in our big decisions and in our everyday tasks, and they’re what has and will continue to drive our growth and success.

• Stay Curious, My Friends. We’re learners at heart. We ask why. We challenge the status quo. We experiment, explore, and adapt, because growth only comes from curiosity.
• Make It Better. We don’t wait. We move fast, take initiative, and push for progress over perfection. We’re scrappy, creative, and relentless. We make it better.
• Obsess Over Customers. Our customers are at the center of everything. We delight them with genuine care and creative solutions. When they win, we win.
• Stronger Together. No lone wolves or kingdom builders here. We’re team players who communicate candidly and kindly. We disagree, we commit, and we win as one. Collaboration is how we level up.
• Optimism Wins. We stay positive under pressure. We face harsh realities with humor and optimism.
• Be Humble. We check our egos at the door. No one here is a “big deal.” We let results, not titles or politics, speak for us. No egos. No drama. Just humility and hustle.

What You Bring to the Table

• 1-3 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in SaaS, digital media, creative tools, or content licensing, with a record of hitting or beating quota.
• Experience running a full sales cycle on your own, including self-sourced pipeline.
• Some experience selling into larger organizations or navigating multiple stakeholders. You don’t need to be an enterprise specialist.
• Comfort in an early-stage or high-ownership environment where processes are still being built.
• Strong written and verbal communication and a consultative, solution-oriented approach.
• Experience with HubSpot (or a similar CRM), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with API, platform, or partnership deals is a plus.
• Experience selling to marketing teams, creative teams, or agencies is a plus.
• Music industry or creator economy experience is a big plus.
• An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Seriously impressive Slack emoji and GIF skills.
