About the Company

Our client is an innovative, design-led direct-to-consumer (DTC) furniture startup dedicated to rethinking and modernizing the furniture industry through modularity, premium aesthetics, and smart product architecture.

The brand operates at the intersection of physical industrial design and cutting-edge digital media. They leverage founder-led vision paired with advanced generative AI tools to create scroll-stopping organic narratives and high-converting paid acquisition creative.

They are seeking a high-caliber, hands-on Lead Marketer & AI Content Specialist who can independently own the creative production engine: blending direct-response marketing principles, high-end 3D/generative AI generation, and punchy short-form video editing into polished, conversion-ready marketing assets.

This is not a high-level theoretical strategy position, nor is it a basic social media scheduling role. The founder already utilizes advanced generative platforms (such as Claude and Magnific AI); they are looking for an expert practitioner who lives and breathes this creative-tech ecosystem and can take their marketing assets to a world-class standard.

Role Overview

The Lead Marketer & AI Content Specialist will lead the end-to-end creative iteration engine across paid social acquisition (Meta, TikTok), organic video (Reels, TikTok, Shorts), and static marketing channels.

Approximately 75–80% of the role is direct creative production—storyboarding, advanced generative asset creation, high-retention video editing, sound design, and rapid ad iteration. The remaining 20–25% focuses on ad performance analysis, creative auditing, asset management, and collaborative concept sprints with the founder.

You will take raw founder video recordings, product photography, 3D renderings, and preliminary concepts, and independently produce 5 to 10 high-impact video and static assets per week that tell the brand's story and convert viewers into customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Creative Strategy & Advanced AI Generation (~40%)

• Ideate, script, and storyboard high-converting video hooks and concepts tailored to modern home design, interior aesthetics, and innovative furniture products.
• Generate photorealistic and stylized visual b-roll, textures, environments, and product context from scratch using advanced generative platforms (Midjourney/Flux, Runway Gen-3, Kling, Luma Dream Machine, Magnific AI, ElevenLabs).
• Blend generative AI media seamlessly with existing product photography and raw footage to showcase product utility, space transformation, and design elegance.
• Maintain structured prompt repositories, style loRAs/references, and documented generative workflows to ensure brand consistency across all outputs.

2. Video Post-Production & Motion Editing (~35%)

• Independently edit high-retention vertical video creatives (9:16) for Meta Ads (Instagram/Facebook), TikTok Ads, and organic reels.
• Transform rough founder recordings and b-roll into dynamic direct-response ads featuring kinetic typography, clean audio mastering, sound design (SFX), and polished visual pacing.
• Rapidly produce creative iterations and hook tests (varying the first 3 seconds, pacing, copy angles, and call-to-action overlays) to combat ad fatigue and maximize ROAS.
• Maintain meticulous file management, export presets, project templates, and organized asset libraries.

3. Creative Performance & Brand Growth Operations (~25%)

• Deliver a consistent cadence of 5–10 finished, high-quality video and static creatives weekly, prioritizing visual storytelling and conversion power over raw churn.
• Review creative metrics across ad channels (hook rates, hold rates, CTR, ROAS) to identify winning creative patterns and underperforming assets.
• Translate data-backed learnings directly into the next week’s production sprint and scripting pipeline.
• Maintain organized production trackers and content boards, keeping the founder updated on sprint status, iteration schedules, and delivery blockers.

What We Are Looking For

Core Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of hands-on experience in direct-response video editing, social advertising, or creative content production for DTC / consumer e-commerce brands (home goods, design, lifestyle, or consumer tech preferred).
• Proven Creative Portfolio: A showreel/portfolio demonstrating commercial short-form video work (TikTok, Reels, paid social ads) with strong visual pacing, sophisticated typography, and tight audio editing.
• Deep Generative AI Tooling Fluency: Hands-on, practical expertise across multiple generative AI platforms. You should be familiar with the modern stack:
  • Image & Upscaling: Midjourney, Flux, Magnific AI
  • Video Generation: Runway (Gen-2 / Gen-3), Kling AI, Luma Dream Machine, Pika
  • Audio & Voice: ElevenLabs, modern audio cleanup tools
• Video Editing Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and/or CapCut Pro.
• Direct-Response Acumen: Deep understanding of consumer psychology, scroll-stopping visual hooks, retention curves, and conversion-oriented storytelling.
• Flawless English Communication: Native or fully bilingual written and spoken English, capable of writing sharp, culturally fluent ad copy and hooks.
• Time Zone Alignment: Reliable daily working overlap with U.S. Central Time (CT).

Mindset & Cultural Fit

• Design Eye: You understand interior aesthetics, spatial composition, and design culture—you know the difference between cheap AI slop and elevated, premium brand storytelling.
• Autonomous Builder: You don't need a storyboard handed to you. You can take a 30-second founder voice memo or phone video and turn it into 3 high-converting ad variants.
• Obsessive Curiosity: You stay at the bleeding edge of new generative tools, video models, and creative tech, constantly testing what's new to stay ahead of the curve.
