Senior Frontend Engineer

About this position

SoftTeco is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join a long-term project for a large commercial bank in Poland. The role is focused on developing scalable platform-level frontend solutions, shared UI components, and design system functionality used across multiple product teams. The position requires regular collaboration with distributed teams and occasional office visits in Poland (1–3 times per week depending on project needs).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain shared frontend solutions and reusable UI components
• Build and support React/TypeScript applications and NPM packages
• Contribute to the evolution of the Banking Design System
• Write and maintain unit and end-to-end tests
• Ensure high quality, consistency, and accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Collaborate with designers, platform teams, and product teams
• Troubleshoot and fix frontend issues
• Provide technical guidance and support across frontend teams
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, NPM, CSS (at least 5 years of experience)
• Experience building scalable frontend applications and reusable libraries
• Solid knowledge of unit and e2e testing (Jest, Testing Library, Cypress)
• Strong Git skills and understanding of version control workflows
• Good understanding of accessibility (a11y / WCAG)
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
• Nice to have: design systems, microfrontends, hybrid mobile apps.

Non-Technical Skills

• High attention to detail and consistency
• Pragmatic, product-oriented mindset
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple teams
• Comfortable working with documentation and established standards
• English communication skills for international collaboration (B2+).
