From our office in Zwijnaarde (Ghent), we’re looking for a Pre-Sales Solution Architect who’s eager to translate business needs into scalable, future-ready solutions that shape the direction of our Miles Enterprise Platform and Sofico Cloud.

What you’ll do...

As a Pre-Sales Solution Architect, you’ll translate business needs into end-to-end solution designs that align with the product vision and roadmap of the Miles Enterprise Platform and Sofico Cloud. You’ll shape solutions during the sales cycle, ensuring they are technically sound, commercially viable, and ready for implementation. Working closely with Sales, Technology, Product, Marketing, and Operations, you’ll bridge customer expectations with technical possibilities and bring solution architecture practices into the Pre-Sales environment.

• Design end-to-end solutions for customers and prospects, translating business requirements into scalable architectures that align with product strategy and architectural principles.
• Define integration approaches across APIs, microservices, real-time events, and legacy systems, considering non-functional requirements such as performance, security, availability, and compliance.
• Lead solution discovery workshops and act as the architectural counterpart in customer and prospect meetings, explaining technical concepts and trade-offs to different stakeholders.
• Own the architecture, integration, and security aspects of RFI/RFP responses, ensuring assumptions, dependencies, constraints, and risks are clearly documented.
• Guide existing customers towards the Miles Enterprise Platform and Sofico Cloud by assessing their current landscape and defining realistic migration approaches.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers on prototypes and API-backed demonstrations, ensuring they reflect Sofico's engineering practices and provide a credible path towards implementation.
• Document solution designs and decisions to ensure a smooth handover to Operations, while sharing reusable patterns and best practices across the Pre-Sales team.
• Bring customer and opportunity feedback to Product and Technology to identify platform gaps and opportunities for standardization.

What you bring...

You have a passion for software architecture and enjoy translating complex business needs into scalable, future-ready solutions. You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on mindset and feel comfortable switching between technical design, prototyping, and customer conversations in a commercial environment.

• Good understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and architectural modelling.
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, and integration strategies.
• Working knowledge of cloud and container environments, as well as security-by-design principles.
• Hands-on experience with APIs, prototyping tools, and the technical environments needed to support demonstrations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge constructively.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of how technical decisions impact scope, effort, risk, and pricing.
• Experience in automotive finance, leasing, or fleet management is a plus.
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Java and SQL databases is a plus.
