Short Summary:
Snap Inc is looking for a Counsel, Regulatory to join Snap’s Privacy and Product Legal team, focusing on global platform laws, AI, privacy, and product counselling.
Responsibilities:
- Advise on global platform laws and regulations, particularly the Digital Services Act and the Online Safety Act.
- Build relationships with regulators and other regulatory stakeholders.
- Manage Requests for Information and support on regulatory investigations.
- Analyze and advise on legal and regulatory requirements for new products, services, and technologies.
- Develop global regulatory compliance and go-to-market strategies.
- Partner with Policy and Comms on consultations, draft legislation, and communication strategies.
- Help scale the legal organization by developing technology-first processes.
- Conduct trainings for engineers and other teams across the company.
Requirement:
- UK or EU legal qualification or foreign equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience practicing law (includes training years).
- Strong understanding of laws relating to digital platforms.
- Experience advising on key European digital legislation, including the Digital Services Act and Online Safety Act.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience partnering closely with engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams.
