We are looking for a Software Unit Manager to lead the growth of our software business and build a diversified and sustainable software unit. We particularly interested in candidates with proven experience in business development and/or sales within the IT/software industry, a strong strategic mindset, and the ability to take ownership of the unit’s business and financial performance.

About key responsibilities in a nutshell:

As a Software Unit Manager, you will take on a key role in growing our software business, with a strong focus on diversifying our customer portfolio and creating sustainable growth opportunities. You will be responsible for developing and executing the software business strategy, acquiring new business opportunities, and building the capabilities and structure needed for a sustainable and successful Software Unit.

What would be your tasks as a Software Unit Manager?

• Analyze the existing software business and customer portfolio to identify opportunities for business diversification and growth.
• Develop and execute a software business strategy and growth plan, focusing on acquiring new customers and expanding business opportunities.
• Lead end-to-end sales process, from the initial contact to contract negotiation and signing.
• Build and develop the Software Unit by establishing the necessary capabilities, operational structure, and team.
• Take ownership of the unit’s financial performance and business results.
• Collaborate closely with delivery and professional leaders to ensure that sold business opportunities are translated into sustainable projects and teams.

Basic qualifications

• Strong strategic thinking and business insight.
• Proven track record in business development and/or sales.
• Solid understanding of the IT and software industry.
• Experience in customer management and building business relationships.
• Experience with financial accountability and business performance management.
• Strong leadership
• High degree of autonomy, initiative and accountability.
• Excellent written and verbal business English and Hungarian.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation
• Ability to collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and their business applications.
