Short Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a General Ledger (GL) Finance Executive. You will manage financial activities, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of transactions, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and monthly management account.
- Conduct analysis of financial data in management account to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and support.
- Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and recommend necessary adjustments.
- Provide guidance and accounting advice to team members whenever necessary.
- Identify opportunities to improve GL processes and drive efficiency through automation and AI tools.
Requirement:
- Must-have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven work experience in a GL accountant or general accounting role, preferably in shared services and audit. Solid understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes. Adept at navigating ERP systems and specialized accounting platforms, with Oracle NetSuite expertise considered a significant asset. Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve workflow efficiency.
- Nice-to-have: ACCA (part-qualified or pursuing) is a plus. Experience supporting multi-market or regional finance operations.
