Short Summary:
As a Project Lead for Consumer Diligence, you will manage TPR review engagements, perform loan-level credit reviews on non-QM consumer files, and serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Perform loan-level review on non-QM consumer files, covering income, assets, liabilities, credit, and collateral/valuation.
- Make and defend exception decisions, including compensating factors behind approvals.
- Interpret client scope and guidelines against applicable investor requirements.
- Resolve files that fall outside guidelines and manage escalations.
- Communicate findings to clients and report results.
- Serve as the client's point of contact and manage timelines with internal teams.
Requirement:
- 7+ years in residential mortgage credit, with experience in TPR or loan-level due diligence.
- Recent hands-on non-QM underwriting experience.
- Ability to make and defend exception decisions, including complex income analysis.
- Direct experience communicating findings to clients.
- Working knowledge of consumer compliance as it applies to review.
