Senior Platform Product Manager
Are you looking to impact and be part of something special, such as shaping the future of healthcare?
Sound like you? Keep reading.
At Semble, we are on a mission to enable health professionals to amplify their impact. We improve the way healthcare is delivered to millions of people by providing doctors and their teams with powerful, innovative, intuitive, and secure software. Our cloud-based clinical system is already used by thousands of clinicians, making their lives easier and saving them money, while structuring their health data to help research.
We are a passionate and driven team, proud to unite under strong cultural drivers:
Impact - We do work that matters.
Collaboration - We are in it together.
Human touch - We care deeply.
We are also quick to embrace new technologies: we have rapidly adopted AI internally, and we are always looking to work with people who are excited to augment their work with AI.
This role can be fully remote in the UK and FR (with occasional travel to our London or Paris offices) within +/- 2 hours of the GMT time zone. We are unfortunately not able to consider candidates located outside these locations and time zones at this stage.
The Platform team exists to make the whole engineering organisation more effective. We’re guided by one core question: how do we help our colleagues reduce cognitive load and get more done? We’re looking for a Platform Product Manager to own the shared layer that internal engineering teams build on, and to lead our push into agentic development on top of that foundation. You’ll treat internal product engineering teams as your customers, build a platform strategy, and success will be evaluated on how much faster and more reliably other teams can ship.
What you will be doing
- Platform as a Product: Co-own the platform strategy and roadmap with our Head of Platform.
- Define and communicate the vision for our internal developer platform and agentic development harness. Prioritise investments based on adoption impact, technical risk, and engineering effort, and make the trade-offs between near-term and long-term value clear. Connect platform investment to company objectives.
- Treat internal teams as customers. Proactively conduct research with other teams to surface implicit platform needs and turn cross-cutting requirements into platform priorities before they become blockers.
- Conduct user research with engineers, observing development workflows and combining qualitative feedback with usage data to identify friction, unmet needs and opportunities for self-service.
- Build the shared layer other teams reuse. Work with the engineering team to convert one-off solutions into shared, easy-to-use services, establishing the platform standards, interfaces, and reusable components that let teams stop rebuilding the same thing.
- Enable agentic development on the platform. Own the capabilities that let internal teams build, deploy, and operate AI agents safely and at scale.
- Establish agent governance and assurance. Define product requirements for the guardrails that make agentic capabilities trustworthy in production. Own the evaluation framework that measures agent task completion, failure recovery, output quality, and human override rates, and use it to catch regressions before they reach other teams.
- Drive scalability and reliability. Partner with engineering on the non-functional requirements that make shared services trustworthy at scale: reliability, performance, security, observability, and graceful behaviour under load. Understand what breaks when a service others depend on runs unattended.
- Use data to decide. Define adoption, reliability, and developer-experience metrics for the platform and agent-specific metrics like time to value, task completion rate, and human override rate. Pull and interpret data yourself, form a point of view, and use it to prioritise.
What we are looking for
This is a senior, high-trust role: you’ll champion a platform-as-a-product vision and represent the Platform team’s priorities in cross-functional conversations, all while keeping empathy for the end-user at the centre of what you build.
Must-haves
- 5+ years in product management, with meaningful time on platform, infrastructure, developer-facing tooling, or backend/API products
-Technical fluency: you’re credible with senior engineers, can reason about distributed systems and architecture trade-offs, and are comfortable where the non-functional requirements *are* the product
- A track record of owning a platform or internal tool end-to-end, setting direction and shipping without someone else defining the “what”
- Experience shipping agentic workflows and tooling into production
- Ability to connect platform work to concrete business value and team outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication; you can articulate the value of complex platform topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ownership and autonomy: you grab problems without being asked and drive outcomes without waiting for direction
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on ability to prototype, even if you’re not shipping it
- Exposure to regulated, enterprise, or security-sensitive environments
- Background contributing to internal developer platforms, DevEx initiatives, or open-source ecosystems
- Experience with API gateways, identity/access management, or service-to-service communication patterns
- Experience designing agent governance capabilities: explainability, audit trails, tool permissions, or approval/escalation workflows
- An active practitioner of agent frameworks who follows developments in open-source harnesses, coding agents, and orchestration tools
- Experience in the HealthTech or healthcare industry
- Proficiency in the French language
How we’ll know you’re succeeding
- Faster time-to-integrate for teams adopting shared services and agentic capabilities
- Rising adoption of platform components over one-off, team-built alternatives
- Reliability and performance of shared services and agents meeting agreed SLOs, with strong task completion and low override rates
- Internal teams citing the platform as an accelerant rather than a bottleneck
What you’ll get in return
- The great feeling coming with knowing you do something that matters: shaping the future of healthcare!
- From a £75k+ package (based on your experience and the value you can bring)
- Autonomy and ownership – we’ll set the vision and share the context, then we trust you to run with things – that’s the reason we hire you!
- 36 days off: 25 holidays +bank holidays +3 extra days (birthday and ‘feel good’ days) - that we will expect you to actually take so you can recharge and rest.
- Comprehensive health & wellbeing support – including private health insurance, mental health support and free therapy sessions through Oli.
- Hybrid & flexible work environment – work from anywhere in the UK/FR, with also some flexibility to work across Europe. You decide how much or how little you go to the office.
- Get the tech you need - You will get the latest MacBook and take your pick from a wide range of equipment to set up your home office ergonomically.
- Work alongside an inspiring team – our two founders have started Semble after a successful startup exit, and your future colleagues are all knowledgeable and innovators in their field.
- Fantastic office space in Central London/Paris - with a roof terrace, weekly animations, loads of natural light, and cute doggies!
- The usual free bits that come with nice offices (barista coffee, tea, fruit, happy hours and activities...).
