Short Summary:
Sardine is the leading agentic risk platform for fighting financial crime, providing an integrated solution to help organizations stop fraud in real time and automate fraud and AML operations.
Responsibilities:
- Own the data ingestion layer for device telemetry, transaction events, KYC/identity signals, and third-party enrichment.
- Build and evolve the feature platform for streaming and batch processing.
- Establish feature correctness as an engineering discipline.
- Productionize fraud and identity ML models and build automated retraining machinery.
- Engineer KYC, AML, and identity risk signals from multi-vendor data.
- Integrate and harden new data sources, ensuring failover behavior and caching.
- Own the warehouse and modeling layer in BigQuery.
- Design entity resolution and graph data linking various identifiers.
- Ensure platform safety through encryption and data residency.
- Set technical direction, write design docs, and mentor team members.
Requirement:
- 8+ years building production data and ML systems.
- Deep Python and strong SQL skills.
- Experience with distributed processing frameworks (Spark, Beam, or Flink).
- Hands-on experience with GCP or AWS cloud data stacks.
- Practical ML engineering depth and experience with high-volume, low-latency serving.
- Domain experience in fraud, risk, payments, or identity/KYC.
- Strong written communication skills.
- A bias toward action and comfort in ambiguity.
