What you’ll build- 

In this role, you’ll shape the evolution of a live enterprise platform on SAP BTP and create a technical foundation for reliable, sustainable product delivery. Specifically, you will: 

•  Translate product goals and business needs into a coherent architecture, clear technical priorities, and an actionable delivery path. 

• Define component interfaces and ownership boundaries so a small team can work autonomously while contributing to one consistent platform. 

• Remain close to the code, personally designing and implementing high-quality production code in the areas most critical to the platform. 

• Lead delivery from design to production with clear accountability, predictable quality, and operational readiness. 

• Strengthen the platform so it can scale, evolve safely, and remain straightforward to operate and support. 

• Add selected AI-enabled capabilities where they solve real user problems and can be evaluated, monitored, and governed responsibly. 

• Partner with the product owner and stakeholders to make trade-offs visible and ensure technical investment supports meaningful business outcomes. 

What you bring- 

• 10+ years in software engineering, including experience as an architect or technical lead and ownership of production SAP BTP applications across multiple releases. 

• Deep hands-on expertise in SAP CAP (Node.js/CDS), SAPUI5, SAP Fiori elements, SAP HANA Cloud, cloud deployment, JavaScript, SQL, with a record of production-grade delivery. 

• Practical experience with enterprise generative AI orchestration, including prompt templating, RAG/vector grounding, data masking, content filtering, and tool/function calling.  

• An architecture-first mindset, pragmatic decision-making, and the ability to se technical direction and ensure engineering quality. 

• Solution Architect - SAP BTP certification or related credentials are an advantage. 

• Experience with Joule and Joule Studio, SAP AI Core and its generative AI hub, SAP Build, SAP Integration Suite, or comparable technologies is a plus. Active open-source contributions are also valued. 

• Strong knowledge of secure API design and service-to-service communication on SAP BTP, including identity management and authorization, together with automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices. 

• Fluent English is required; additional languages are an asset. 

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
