What you’ll do 

As part of the product management team, your focus will be on the interaction of our solutions in the areas of market communication and metering concept management/distributed energy resources. Your daily work includes the identification and analysis of product-related change requirements and the definition of the new or changed product scope. 

While working closely with a team of product managers who specialize in different areas of regulatory product scope, your main focus will be working with a dedicated development team on a day-to-day basis. Together, you will be responsible for planning and delivering regulatory updates and new use cases.  

The direct exchange with customers on both requirements and the product itself is an essential part of your work. 

This role requires a combination of industry, product and technical understanding as well as strong communication skills in German and English.  

What you bring 

You have several years of experience in working with requirements in the field of market communication and related regulations. You have a deep understanding of the utilities industry and stay informed about relevant trends and best practices. Based on your business understanding, your knowledge of our product scope and the industry-specific data model, as well as your strong analytical skills, you will define solutions that delight customers. 

You bring with you:  

• Proven experience working with utility customers 

• Hands-on experience in translating unclear customer challenges into clear problem statements, outcome-driven product requirements, and actionable roadmaps.  

• Strong understanding of SAP Business AI, Agentic AI, and modern AI capabilities, including their practical application in industry-specific business process contexts. 

• Demonstrated ability to influence without formal authority and align cross-functional teams in dynamic environments on customer value, product priorities, and measurable results. 

• Strong consulting and results orientation with the ability to structure ambiguity, moderate discovery workshops, challenge assumptions and lead teams from initial insights to validated implementation. 

• Proactively use AI in daily workflows to accelerate research, opportunity assessment, prototyping, requirements definition, decision-making, and quality assurance of results. 

• Excellent knowledge of German and English 

Where you belong  

You will be part of the Industry AI unit for Energy and Natural Resources, a team focused on turning Industry AI opportunities in the ENR space into measurable customer value.  

In this role, you'll help raise product management standards beyond your immediate responsibility by leading teams of industry insights to clear decisions and AI-powered execution.  

If you want to achieve broad product influence and are ready to take Industry AI for ENR from strategy to AI-supported implementation, this role is a great fit for you. 

Key competencies in this role include requirements and market analysis, product lifecycle management, product roadmap development, data-driven decision-making, stakeholder and customer management, and the practical use of modern AI technologies, including AI-powered development, automation, prototyping, and quality assurance of AI results. In addition, you have experience in the daily use of agentic AI as well as in promoting AI adoption in organizations.
