What you'll build

As an Enterprise Architect, you'll shape the future architecture of SAP's internal Finance technology landscape, ensuring business strategy and technology evolve together.

You'll partner with senior business leaders, enterprise stakeholders, and IT product teams to define target architectures, create strategic roadmaps, and guide technology decisions across finance domains. Your work will help simplify complex business processes, improve operational efficiency, and enable scalable, future-ready solutions powered by SAP technologies.

In this role, you'll:

• Translate business strategy into sustainable enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps.
• Guide architectural decisions across finance-related business capabilities.
• Partner with IT Product Owners and delivery teams to ensure architectural vision is successfully implemented.
• Drive alignment across multiple initiatives while balancing innovation, standardization, and long-term sustainability.
• Develop architecture models, principles, and governance standards that support strategic decision-making.
• Contribute to enterprise architecture communities, decision boards, and cross-functional transformation programs.

Your work will directly influence how SAP's Finance organization adopts new technologies, modernizes business processes, and delivers long-term business value.

What you bring

We're looking for an experienced Enterprise or Solution Architect who combines strong business understanding with technology expertise and enjoys solving complex cross-functional challenges.

You bring:

• Proven 5+ years experience as an Enterprise Architect or Solution Architect designing large-scale business solutions.
• Practical expertise across at least three of the following domains:
  • Core Accounting & Financial Close
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Treasury & Risk Management
  • Cash & Liquidity Management
  • Revenue Accounting
  • Billing
  • Tax & Trade
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • ESG / Sustainability
• Strong understanding of SAP technologies, including SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable enterprise architecture.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies and governance frameworks (TOGAF, SAFe or similar is a plus).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and executive audiences.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.
• A collaborative mindset, curiosity, and a passion for driving business transformation through technology.

You'll join the Enterprise Architecture team within SAP Corporate Processes & Information Technology (CPIT), where strategy, business, and technology come together.
