Where You Belong

SAP Cloud Infrastructure (SCI) is SAP's enterprise-grade cloud platform, delivering secure and scalable infrastructure services to SAP's Lines of Business and external customers alike. SCI powers SAP's most critical cloud products and serves as the foundation for sovereign and regulated cloud offerings — including solutions for defense, public sector, and highly regulated industries across Europe and beyond.

As connectivity becomes a gating factor in sovereign and regulated cloud deals, we are building dedicated expertise to match the pace and complexity of our growing pipeline. You will join the SCI Solutions Engineering team — a cross-functional, internationally distributed group that bridges complex customer requirements and SAP's cloud capabilities, enabling strategic onboarding engagements for enterprise customers across commercial and sovereign cloud environments.

What You'll Do

• Discovery & Qualification

- Lead customer connectivity discovery covering requirements, regulatory constraints, existing edge topology, and implementation constraints

- Validate use-case fit for SCI Commercial and, where applicable, sovereign cloud patterns

• Solutioning & Design

- Produce decision-ready connectivity designs and Bills of Materials for VPNaaS and Direct Connect-as-a-Service (including MACsec, MPLS, cloud peering)

- Define edge handoff models, segmentation and routing designs, NAT/DNS considerations, inspection chains, and egress controls

- Map compliance requirements to BSI/VS-NfD and customer security policies; identify approved and prohibited options

- Provide comparative A/B options with documented assumptions, constraints, and risk considerations for pricing review

• Standardization & Knowledge Assets

- Create and maintain reusable templates: discovery questionnaires, connectivity design packs, handover runbooks

- Build and maintain a connectivity patterns library covering SCI Commercial and Sovereign Cloud

• Coordination & Governance

- Orchestrate internal and customer-facing workshops; document decisions, actions, risks, and CAPAs

- Interface with SCI Network and WAN teams

- Ensure clean handover to delivery with validated assumptions, BoMs, and acceptance criteria

 What You Bring

- Deep expertise in enterprise and cloud connectivity: BGP/routing, segmentation, NAT, DNS, IPsec VPN, MACsec, MPLS, Direct Connect patterns

- Experience with regulated or sovereign cloud environments (BSI, VS-NfD, or equivalent national security frameworks a strong plus)

- Proven ability to translate complex technical options into decision-ready recommendations for customer and stakeholder audiences

- Experience working across internal engineering teams and external customers simultaneously

- Structured working style — able to create reusable assets, not just solve one-off problems

- Fluency in English required; German a strong plus

We operate across multiple countries and time zones, engaging directly with strategic customers, internal Lines of Business, and engineering teams to turn complex requirements into working solutions. You will have direct exposure to high-visibility deals and the opportunity to shape how SCI scales its connectivity practice from the ground up.
