JOB TITLE:                        Human Resource Manager

DEPARTMENT:                  Human Resources

REPORTING TO:               VP Human Resources EMEA (dotted line to Plant Manager)

DIRECT REPORTS:          Yes

OBJECTIVES OF POSITION:

• Direct the Human Resources function at Gunzenhausen, Germany
• Support the business objectives
• Provide HR services to Gunzenhausen and for a number of non plant/corporate employees supported by Gunzenhausen

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Advises the management team on HR policy and program matters, making or recommending appropriate decisions consistent with strategic direction.
• Counsels management on the interpretation of corporate and local HR policies and procedures
• Resourcing recruitment and selection in accordance with business plan
• Contact Person for all labour- social security- and collective legal issues
• Working together with the Workers Council
• Managing / Execution of all collective and individual regulations
• Training and Development including identification of needs
• Employee relations
• Compensation and benefits
• Performance management
• Organization development
• Employee communications
• Health and Safety compliance
• Services
• Benefits administration
• HR Administration
• Contact for employees and managers on all HR topics
• Support the European HR group where required

MEASUREMENTS:

• Measurements will be tracked against plant and corporate key metrics. Performance will also be tracked against MBOs which have been agreed in advance and reviewed annually as during the annual appraisal process.

PERSONNEL SPECIFICATIONS

 ESSENTIAL:   

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a HR Business Partner or Management role. 
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Qualified Degree in Business Management/Human Resource Management or equivalent. 
• Able to manage in changing, growing environment. 
• Competent IT, analytical and budget skills. 
• People Management.
• Strong knowledge of and interpretation of German Labour Law employment and Industrial Relations legislation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
• Strong business acumen
• Business fluent English and German language skills
