Short Summary:
Samsara is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Developer Experience team, focusing on building tooling and infrastructure for engineers. This role involves shaping the technical direction and enhancing the developer platform, including CI/CD pipelines and AI coding agents.

Responsibilities:
- Help shape the technical direction of the developer platform — CI/CD, build systems, and AI agents.
- Design and build AI agents to automate coding, code review, test generation, release automation, and incident response.
- Scale tooling to support the growing engineering organization while maintaining reliability and developer happiness.
- Standardize tools and practices to promote good ideas across teams.
- Raise the technical bar through code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship.
- Partner with engineering leadership on strategic decisions and tradeoffs.
- Represent Samsara externally when appropriate.

Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years building software, with at least 2 years in an architect or technical leadership role.
- Strong programming and design fundamentals.
- 4+ years working on large-scale distributed systems.
- 4+ years leading technical projects across multiple teams.
